“My Mother (Lucille) came to Abode at age 98 after living in her home for 68 years and was extremely difficult and depressed. When it came to the point where she could not be safely left alone she became a resident of Abode, and the last two years of her life were the happiest I had seen her in 20 years. She loved the staff, food and the other residents who she called her home. It is a very difficult for a loved to have to go to a Personal Care Home, which for years Lucille resisted. But I can assure her going to Abode, not only as I said was the happiest I saw her in years ,but also I was assured that she was safe. It wasn't the things they had to do that makes Abode special, but the things they don't have to do that makes them special, i.e. they gave my Mom a wonderful 100th Birthday party, the Christmas Parties and the genuine care and concern that the staff shows their residents. “I have been treating with Dr. Prisk for almost a year now, and I couldn't be any happier. he genuinely cares for his staff and patients. Dr. Prisk did both of my ankle surgeries, I couldn't be any more pleased then I am now. I was hurt at work last May, and was BLESSED to find Dr. Prisk in August. So, with workers comp, (this is my 1st ever experience with it) Comp does not pay for anything right off the bat. It is a long grueling process. I say this because Dr. Prisk continued to treat me even though he was not getting paid. I've had bad anxiety seeing him for my appointments because I knew that he hadn't been paid. But he never missed a beat, he continued with my treatments and appointments like nothing was wrong. Dr. Prisk, THANK YOU (saying it doesn't seem to be enough) for your wonderful care you've given me!! You have a wonderful combination of dedication, compassion , kindness, you're efficient and above all else, SELFLESS!! (I could go on and on). You are AMAZING and a great man! I was in total dismay by reading Josh Larkin's review. I did do a little research on him and found him on a social network. My opinion only, Josh is a young guy who didn't get his way (he wanted to be home for the summer and not working). Everything Josh wrote, I've NEVER once seen from Dr. Prisk.”
