“Dean Fletcher is the only person to deal with if you want to install or rebuild a fireplace in southwestern Pennsylvania. We contacted several other contractors prior to beginning this project who tried to talk us into options that we didn't want. Dean listened to what we wanted, and then he delivered. His attention to detail made us confident that we didn't need to hover while he working. Just as importantly, Dean is a trustworthy. We felt very comfortable leaving him alone in our home to work. We also have a young daughter, and he was wonderful with her. He even carved her name in the foundation of the fireplace stone. I can't recommend him highly enough. I've included a picture of our finished fireplace, which was exactly what we wanted. Finally, once our fireplace was installed, there was a manufacturer's glitch with our insert. Even though the glitch was the manufacturer's fault, not Dean's, he returned to our house to make sure that the situation was addressed adequately.”

When I had contractors come over to give me quotes, many did not get back to me, some acted like the job was just too much of a pain to deal with. “I've worked with Steven Shriver on two remodeling projects, and saw plenty of his team's work prior to making that decision. For the longest time I really thought it was just about impossible to find a contractor that was trustworthy, timely, and does such quality work. I would and have recommended them to all of my family and friends and regret not knowing about him sooner because we would have saved hundreds to thousands and even more importantly, saved ourselves weeks of frustration and uncertainty. They're not a huge crew, so if you have an upcoming project try to call them sooner rather than later. They work very quickly, but won't rush projects just to get more business. But if they are booked, I personally would wait until they are free. Peace of mind is worth it to me. Re: COVID precautions. Again, the team is incredibly resourceful. They keep social distance, only being as many men to the house as they need and wear Shriver Remodeling Masks at all times.”

“It’s hard to find decent customer service these days and we had to hand it to Dave and to Carla with this specific store. They went above and beyond to make our view of going to this Home Depot a pleasant one. We went during a snow storm looking for a specific vanity that was showing 6 in-stock. After scouring the aisles top to bottom, we couldn’t find the one we were looking for. Dave asked us what we needed help with and point us to Carla, who helped us with a smile. She not only walked us to the aisle we needed but found the pallet in the way back of the store that housed the vanity we were looking for. She stayed with us the entire time to ensure we got the product we wanted. We had 2 guys unload the vanity and put it on our cart. We went to check out and Dave asked us if we got everything we needed. He was happy to hear that Carla was able to help and assisted us with the self check out. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes and were so thankful for their help! Outstanding job to Carla and Dave - keep up the great work!! :)”

I have their loyalty card, which I would definitely recommend, and there are coupons that come out throughout the years where you get a great discount off of your entire purchase. They have a little bit of everything. This is THE place to get the best price on area rugs, books, and household textiles especially. The only trade off is that you have to be a little bit flexible. I am totally willing to be flexible for an awesome giant area rug that is a fraction of the price of everywhere else but super quality!”
