“I bought a powder coated spiral staircase 6 years ago for my ocean front home. I have had to replace and maintain so many things due to the salt air, such as most of my outside lights which all corroded, even though they were rated for marine environment, hinges, and locks. I have had to repaint the front of the house, doors, the garage door, but NOT the spiral staircase. If I cleaned it, it would still look brand new. Very high quality product. I highly recommend. I also have a spiral staircase at my non-beach home. I chose the standard paint finish and have to re-spray paint it every 3-4 years. Still great. Everyone near me (in the city) has the same issue with their metal balconies and stairs. I do recommend you pay more and get the powder coat finish though, I would if I could do it again.”
