Start Of Laurel Highlands Trail

Beautiful scenery even went off the trail up high to see the huge rocks an climb around but did notice some odd rocks knocking an responded back when called put ao moved outta that area quickly an made it back to the trail!! But was a very nice way to get away

This trail goes about 70 miles north. We've never taken it here, but do a short hike near Mile 18, from the Laurel Ridge Cross Country Ski Center. There's a shelter camping area half a mile from that lot. I'm not a very serious hiker, but you'll meet people on this trail who do 20 or 30 miles, or who go all the way through.

Scenic hike, mile marker 0 is a little beyond the rocky path, and follow the “Hiking Trail” signs. A few parking spots right here, the nearby lot is for the pub but there’s a parking lot across the street called Ferncliff Natural Area Parking and there is a sign saying “LHHT Trailhead Parking” pointing to that area.

This is a beautiful area. It reminded me of the Pacific Northwest, where I'm from.

Best trail this side of PA more like a mini AT. Ends in johnstown . Parking lot and trail access is on the other side of the road.
