“These people are super friendly and very friendly. We did the Pedal/Paddle where you take one of their rental bikes and travel up river 9 miles. They meet you there with watercraft to float down the Middle Yough back to Ohiopyle. We chose to use Duckies, which are inflatable kayaks. The entire trip took 6 hours. The bike part was wonderful. The river was low, and we got stuck multiple times in the shallow areas. Great exercise because you have to work to get through these areas. A couple of nice rapids that were a blast. The only problem was my duckie seat back leaked all the air, so I had no seat back most of the trip”

“Stayed in "Meadow," first floor, room 102. Made hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill inside the pavilion. Made pizza mountain pies and s'mores in the fire pit. (Both are gas, no need to bring wood or charcoal.) The condo is fully equipped with skillets, pots and pans, utensils, dish soap, dish cloths and towels, along with paper towels, measuring cups, silverware, everything you need if you aren't going to cook outside. (We brought our own mountain pie maker and utensils for the grill.) There was even a bottle opener and a wine opener in the drawer!! There is a coffee shop directly across the street that we visited twice. Resident cat, "Thomas" is super sweet, he even let me hold him! Highly recommend!! Will book again for our next rafting trip. We did the middle Yough and are planning on doing the lower Yough in August or September. (Middle Yough is good for first-timers and small children.) Ordered the chocolate covered strawberries and they were in our fridge waiting for us when we got there. AMAZING!!!! Can't wait to go back!!”

“Great Reuben sandwich which the staff highly recommended and said it was their most popular sandwich. I also had the fresh cut fries with malt vinegar, both were very good. The restaurant is great, location fantastic as we hiked all morning ate lunch and then went for a bike ride. Perfect day and a perfect restaurant, you have to sit outside and enjoy the distant sound of the nearby rushing water.”

“Great place to start the day. I had a breakfast bagel with bacon, egg and cheddar; made to perfection. Combined with a cappuccino and then additional treat: a chocolate piece smothered in caramel with added pecans, so good (and naughty). They have an outside space with plenty of seating (all with umbrellas), all facing the south towards the sun. Super nice staff members. Restrooms are available as well. Top notch place, can only recommend.”

“Fast and reliable option for someone who wants to purchase food and continue their journey. At least during our visit, they only had an outdoor area for sitting, which could be great during warmer seasons, but a challenge during winter. Food portion is average for a sandwich or a dog. If you a hungry person, you might need to ask two items to go. People with allergies or intolerance, their menu is customized for your needs whether you’re asking savories or sweets. Kudos to the team for compostable containers.”

“I love this house. It's clean, comfortable, and conveniently located in town. The decor is cute. I love the antique furniture. The kitchen is easy to cook and eat in and the washer and dryer are life savers. My family is really enjoying our stay.”

“Stayed in the Laurel Guest House on my ride from Pittsburgh to DC. It was certainly basic is its amenities , but provided a hot shower, a comfy bed, towels, and a safe stay right in town. I would definitely recommend this guest house if you are just looking for a good place to stay without the frills. I will say that there was a full kitchen available for use if you book the whole house.”

“Went there for the first time with our kid. From phone inquiry to registeration online to interaction on the main office, everyone was professional and friendly. We enjoyed every bit of the trip and had quality time as a family while working out some muscles. Middle Yough is an easy section of the river, if beginners like us can do it, you can do it. Parts of the river were shallow that older kids can stand in, other parts are deeper but definitely less than 6 feet (my estimate). The main store has items with reasonable prices that are handy for a day at the river.”

“Stayed at Hummingbird Guest Nest on 8/17/18 with my son. Easily made day-of arrangements over phone with Smitty, the affable owner. Perfect set-up for 2-3 person kayaking group. (Possibly more than 3?) Full kitchen area, living room area, and 3 bedrooms (not sure but possibly all Queen-sized beds). Bathroom with shower. Rack for hanging rinsed-off boating gear. Porch. Fire ring (which we will use on our next visit.) Spic and span clean. Non-smoking. Endearing photos of raft-guiding son. Reasonable pricing. Located on Blaine Street which is up the hill (up Sheridan Street) from the Falls Market Restaurant and Inn located at the intersection of Route 381 and Sheridan Street in "downtown" Ohiopyle. Overall impression? Could not ask for more given the ample space, cleanliness, price, and location.”

“Delicious smoothies, frozen drinks, coffee drinks, cookies, scones, and light fare. Cute shop. A lot is packed into this tiny building. The staff is extremely friendly and there's outdoor seating too. To top it off, this place is incredibly clean.”

“I absolutely adored our stay here. This was our first trip away together and we had the absolute best time. I contribute 50% to the location, comfort, and amenities provided by Falls Market Inn & Suite, and the other half to the handsome man who took me away for a lovely weekend. If you get the opportunity and are a more advanced hiker, check out Jonathan Falls. It absolutely does not get the notoriety it deserves. Going with fresh snow literally made it feel magical. 💕”
