“Thank you Chief Foltz & Offier Slothower : On wednesday March 7, 2018, we had just shoveling our driveway for the first time while it was still snowing with hopes of staying ahead of the projected heavier snowfall to come. Shortly after coming into the house, we looked out the window and noticed that the snow plow had just plowed and left large mounds of snow at the entrance of our driveway blocking it. Somewhat upset by this, we called the township to voice our displeasure with hopes they could reach the snow plow driver by radio and ask him to come back to our address and remove the snow he had piled up infront of our dirveway. Due to the bad weather , the township offices were closed. However we were able to reach the Lower Pottsgrove Police Department, spoke to Beth to whom we communicated our concern. She reached out to her department and let us know she'd see what could be done if anything. In less than an hour we looked outside and saw the snow had been removed. We contacted Beth at the PD ( I hope we have the correct name) to thank her for being so helpful so quickly. It was then that she told us that Chief Foltz and Officer Mike Sloithower had come by and removed the snow. Our intention was never to have the PD come by and do this, at the most, find the Plow driver in our neighborhood and ask him to plow the snow he left. Thank you all so much for your help and going above and beyond your duty. Bill & Joyce Hairston”

“The police officers are extremely friendly whether you got pulled over for an expired registration (oops) or if you are calling in about the warning or if you are going in the office to show proof of registration. I had a pleasant experience from start to finish and it is nice to know we are protected by such lovely people. Thanks again for being awesome! Thank you all for your service.”

“To what I understand this police station interacts w/ a cop Chris Schott. This unethical/immoral clown took my leg off in a head on collision. Yet he's still a flatfoot. How this department supports someone like this is disgusting.”

“At a time in America when the police are demonized by a small fraction of citizens, it is wonderful to see a police force that is striving to live above the hate mongering and fracturing of our society being attempted by the media for ratings, and for some people as an excuse for their bad behavior. My wife and I strive to teach our children that the police are here to keep us safe. We say hello to officers that we pass, and my six and seven-year-old daughters engage them in lively conversation. I believe this attitude trickles down from the top. We were fortunate enough to meet the chief of police, and he is warm and accommodating and intelligent. With a nearly impossible job, I think he and his force are doing very well. Consider the King of Prussia Mall. It is only one small part of Upper Merion, But it seems nearly impossible to guarantee safety and prosperity for such a huge complex. That is being accomplished every day by the police and citizens of upper Merion. Their reputation is for reasonableness when doing traffic stops, and interacting with people. I’m glad these people who are our police are doing this work for us. It seems mostly a thankless endeavor, but at least some of us try to understand the ACTUAL life and death situations involved in the job, And pray for the officers to be safe.”
