Address: 1150 Keystone Park Rd, Derry, PA 15627, USA

Park

“This was our first time camping here. We stayed in lakeside cabin #1 and it was perfect. Swim beach was “closed” due to an algae bloom so there were very few people across the lake from us. The campground is very well maintained and heavily wooded. Many sites are located along the edge of the lake. The restrooms are very clean! There are several hiking trails that are worth exploring. We hadn’t really considered this as a camping option before but we were all surprised and very impressed!”

Once back the road there were nice picnic pavilions, a large building where the food was kept, a playground area, volleyball nets, horseshoe pits and 2 sand pits under pavilions to play bouchi ball. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a great venue for a picnic!!”

“Had alot of fun here with my kids and a friend and her kid. Did some sled riding, snow man building, and snow fort building. The hills are gentle enough or rough enough for any level of snow seeding fun. During spring, summer, and fall months I believe the lower end where the ball field is, gets a bit marshy. My wife and kids though do like going here all year long.”

Multiple baseball fields, batting cages, 2 basketball courts, sand volleyball court, a nice size fishing pond, deck hockey, walking trail that wraps around the perimeter of the park, 2 dog parks ( 1 for big dog's and 1 for little dog's) and a skateboard park. Lazy Acres Campground

Address: 199 Slag Rd, Derry, PA 15627, USA

Campground Rv park Lodging Park

“Super quiet campground located at Keystone state park. The only negative is that the water is not drinkable. The sediments stained our ceramic toilet and shower brown. We couldn't even give the water to our dogs, else they'd get sick. We had to get the five gallon jugs from Walmart for all of us to drink. We could use the "tap" water for showers and dishes and laundry but even then, we didn't like it. The monthly rate wasn't too bad at all considering the water problem. Electric, sewer and water were all inclusive. The park owners were very kind. And the park kitties were super cute! Lots of beautiful wildlife around, too: groundhogs, pheasants, deer, raccoons and bears! Close to Latrobe (about 15 minutes).”

Murrysville Community Park

Address: 4056 Wiestertown Rd, Murrysville, PA 15632, USA

Park

“Fantastic park for everyone! Tons of baseball and soccer fields. Several basketball courts. Beautiful area but out in the middle of nowhere so a little bit of a drive. But this makes it also quiet. Awesome playgrounds for kids. Several different ones but one larger play area with several large playground sets. Splash pad for the summer time too. Great paths throughout for walking. Jogging possible too but fairly hilly. There's a 3/4 mile path directly across the street as well that looks like a nature preserve area. Highly recommend this park for fun outings”

Westmoreland Heritage Trail

Can’t wait until they finish!”

“Beautiful August morning arriving just after sunrise. I don't and wouldn't walk for exercise, but I love walking to see landscapes, nature, animals, environment, scenery, etc. For the peaceful beauty that makes one so small in this amazing world with a million things to see every minute of every day that pass us by in our busy lives.
