“This National Memorial site is very well done. It is hard to believe that such atrocities happened in the US. Makes us very thankful to God for the freedom we have. The firearms demonstration was excellent. Our kids really enjoyed it. We walking trail is nicely done and comfortable to walk on. Plan to spend at least a couple hours here.”

“1st time riding here. I can tell the trail can be a muddy place to ride if there has been a good bit of rain. And there had been prior to today. But loved it. Looking forward to heading back!”

“Great place to camp! Or venue for gatherings. When the truck starts having trouble with the 8 mile, 8% uphill grade to Blue Bear in Boone, this is the next best thing.”

“I love going here for an afternoon walk. You can walk down to the river and play in the water, or dip your feet in to cool off. The trail is clear and covered in gravel. You can easily bring a stroller down the trail. There are a few educational stops alomg the way to learn about the history. There is a small fee to enter the park, which goes up around may due to the blooming lollies, which are beautiful! You can go on the website and purchase a pass though that will save you money if you live in the area and plan to visit often.”

“Very nice there today. Saw lots of fish jumping. All of the grass had recently been cut. People could do a lot better with taking their trash back with them. I picked up some today, plan to go back another day with gloves and a trash bag. A nice place to visit. Peaceful and quiet.”
