“Great place to live and rent from. We lived there for almost 3 years. Quiet, clean, no trouble, friendly staff and privacy. We were blessed to be able to stay in a safe place and the owners were always there if we needed anything. Plus, there is a pond with ducks! There were also many different species of birds that would come and hang out as well. The mobile home we lived in was new at the time and ready to move into, very nice 2 bedroom 2 bath. We also received our deposit back within the same month we moved out, which if you have rented before, rarely happens. I cannot thank the owners enough for their hospitality, and just being down right good humans. (I never experienced anything that these one star reviews are going on about and it seems like it’s more of a personal issue with the tenants rather than business. I found it quite alarming to read some of these reviews because that is the exact opposite of how we and several other tenants are treated, who have also lived there for a while. Albeit these reviews were made several years ago, it seems rather suspicious.) This place was a blessing in our lives and I will never forget that.”

“The cabins are old and very basic painted cinder blocks, brick, and drywall, but ours was clean. The location is right on the water, with a pier across the street. The owners were friendly. For what we paid, and what we read in the reviews, we were happy. No bugs--we did leave the lights in the front room on to discourage them, because I grew up on the coast and know some tricks. It was close to good food options and the Fulton Mansion. Overall, compared to the price range, we enjoyed it. If you grew up in luxury, you may not like it, but otherwise, its good.”

“I loved my stay here. The front desk lady was super nice and the room was clean. I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel for the price we paid, but I would definitely stay here again. The hot breakfast was made fresh by someone, and had choices of eggs and toast, sausage gravy and biscuits, pancakes or cereal oh and bacon. The courtyard was well kept, and the pool was nice. It's also pet friendly.”

Owners worked with us after the storm giving us time to clean up and we were patient enough (an understanding) to give her time to get power restored. Things DON'T happen over night for any of us. “The owner is very helpful and is really working hard , along with his employees to clean the place up. Our room is clean and we are allowed to have our dogs at no extra charge( rare) and I was surprised that it's pretty quiet The manager is super nice, but enforces the rules. I really have to say that outside appearances don't always tell.the whole story. Due to circumstances beyond our control we ended up staying here last minute. The owner really saved us and our dogs from being homeless by working with us. I'm grateful to have this roof over my head today.Great Great people!!!”

“I've been going to Rockport for over 20 year's and never had I stopped at what now is my favorite breakfast spot in Rockport!!!!! They roast their own coffee and make every coffee concoction imaginable....So good! AND their kolaches and pastries are DELISH😋Unfortunately I didn't realize they're closed on Sundays so I was unable to try their Texas BBQ 😞 That will be must on our next Rockport vacation. The customer service is excellent, very clean, great atmosphere and our new go to coffee house and munchies place...”

“We went to just get away and recover from hand surgery. So when we arrived Lesa made sure I didnt even have to get off my vehicle. They showed us our room. And room smelled great as we opened the door and saw how clean & fresh it looked & smelled. All beds had sheets, bedding & plenty of pillows. Bathroom was very clean and had plenty of towels. We had plenty of seating & beds. Although the room slept at least 5. Hubby and I went alone. But we are definitely already planning our next get away with my whole family. Thanks again to the staff who made sure to check on us throughout our 3 night stay. They were all very courteous and helpful if needed.”

“I spent a few days here in November 2021 for a "girls" getaway. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the property was too. Location was perfect for what we did; whooping crane bird tour and eating the freshest seafood at local spots. The pool and hot tub were lovely. Other guests were kind and respectful. I really wish every hotel stay was this simple and layed back. This is a gem within a gem of a town.”

“Could not ask for better customer service! Bought new A/C unit after purchasing a dud from a different (Explore USA Rockport) place. These guys said to drop off the unit with them & they would test it for us (what? The other place said they needed our whole rv with a/c connected to be able to test it & blah, blah, blah to think about getting us our money back) (see my Explore USA Rockport review for more info) Amazingly enough we (customer Jason Wyeth) were issued a refund not even 24 hrs later for the faulty unit we didn't even purchase there. “I haven’t ever been to a cleaner resort! Rooms are immaculate, super clean, smelled fresh, and the set up was absolutely professional. What the rooms didn’t have the front desk had by request (like a hair dryer). They had fresh hot coffee in the office in the morning. The park itself is quiet and friendly maintenance men. Office lady’s are positive and put you in a great mood every time. Housekeeping just blows us away. Motel rooms, Kitchenettes, and suites. My family has stayed in them all numerous times and I will forever be a huge fan of the Sandollar!”
