We had such a relaxing overnight stay. The place is peaceful and quiet. The homemade breakfast was delicious. Best bacon ever!! Thank you Adell and Ernesto for being so nice and welcoming. We loved exchanging our views about Texas and France. Hope we’ll have the opportunity to go back one day with our boys. Stephanie & Benoit
Such a relaxing overnight stay we all had! Scenery was peaceful and so quiet with all the deer. I met the most amazing good boy named Duke! 🐶 Ernie and Adell were so nice and welcoming! Can't wait to go back one day!
I never have high expectations when booking hotels/bnb's based on online photos and others reviews however, I was truly amazed at Glory Hills. Ernie and Adel are fantastic hosts. The cottage/house are clean and in great condition. The grounds are great and full of deer. Would definitely return, especially when I need to provide a great experience for family or friends.
Where do I start? The location is a short drive from San Antonio.
When you arrive, you are greeted promptly and friendly by Ernie & Adele.
We stayed in Cricket House which is an exquisitely furnished multiple-guest house, but you have plenty of space for privacy and seclusion if you want it.
The hosts (Ernie & Adele) are very thoughtful and wonderful people! I truly cannot describe the hearts and care they have for the guests and the grounds!!!
Too much to describe is onsite...this is a truly beautiful location if you are looking for a weekend getaway with great friends or just a nice quiet time alone with your loved one!!!
P.S. - Adele makes the best hand-made morning cinnamon buns...do not miss this part of the mornings!
A little peace and quiet in a little peace of heaven with angels as hosts.
I've stayed at numerous B&B's in my lifetime and this has easily been one of the best. The hosts are extremely generous and welcoming going out of their way to make sure you are most comfortable during your stay. My husband and I came up on a motorcycle not knowing there is a pretty lengthy gravel road leading to the rooms. We made it to the top, but it was late in the afternoon and we didn't want to maneuver it again till morning. The hosts were so accommodating, and made us a couple of sandwiches for dinner, even after I refused and said we were fine. The weather was beautiful and we were able to sit and relax on the front porch and watch the many deer grazing around us as the birds all chirped from the trees.
After a restful sleep, breakfast was served family style in the large common area. Eggs made to order, sausage, biscuits and gravy, strawberries and yogurt, toast, and coffee and orange juice. The hosts were both great conversationalists and we sat and talked for an hour before having to head out. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
