“I recently moved to Elgin, and I believe strongly in supporting small mom and pop type pharmacies. I'm very glad that my support paid off because Elgin medicine shop is an amazing pharmacy. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, they are extremely fast at filling prescriptions, never out of stock of my medication (It's a controlled substance which the big chain pharmacies seem to always understock and take days to order more) and also carry a high quality generic formulation from a respectable pharmaceutical company (again unlike the big chains which carry the cheapest generic and change it constantly to get the best price leading to inconsistent results for the patient). The best part for me though is the lack of judgment from the pharmacy staff, somebody who has chronic pain due to cancer and long-term illness like I do and requires medication for that, I'm used to the judgmental looks from pharmacy staff that assume I'm some sort of an addict. Elgin medicine shop treats me like a human being, with compassion and empathy, they treat me like any other patient picking up a blood pressure medication when I go to pick up my pain meds. It's sad how rare that is to find, but I appreciate it more than you know. Thank you Elgin medicine shop for being amazing and treating your customers with compassion and dignity”

A different server began to serve us in the beginning then realized we weren't in her section . We laughed together and she went to her area waving at us from time to time. Our actual server came and tended to the table with great customer service. Thank you for a nice time Longhorn. I would recommend for a nice lunch or dinner.”

“New Park, it nicely done. It's easy to get in & out of. The roads are big enough for 2 cars to pass. Spaces are decent size. There's a laundry room w/vending machine. The manger keeps up with the grass. No signs of snakes! That's a plus. Well lit. There's a cow pasture on both sides.”

“Our friends got us tacos one night and I loved them! It took us 3 tries to find where they got them so we had to try the other menu items as well. The 5 pack mini tacos are very good! (The reason we have been searching) we got a chicken quesadilla, it was very full and my three girls shared one. We also got a Barbacoa Torta to share. I have been trying tortas from different places the past 4 years and have never liked them until today! It was so good, not soggy and very flavorful! Take the time to stop at the Valero and get some good food at the food truck! You won’t be disappointed!”

“This is not a strenuous trail but there are a handful of trickier sections that add a bit of character to the place. We wanted to see how our new shelter dog would act in a public setting that wasn't too overwhelming and this place was perfect for it. Just a handful of people out and about, as well as other dogs. I could see the place getting busier but it was pretty low key at the time.”

“Wish I could give more stars. My boys bought me a ride on the T-6, which my father flew in WWII and the Korean War. They even have it dressed up with his famed squadron patch - the Mosquito Squadron. Everyone working there is a volunteer, and everyone we met is the friendliest person you ever met. They rightfully take great pride in the work they do and love to tell you the stories of their planes - and boy do they have some great stories. Truly a fantastic group of people doing some amazing work.”
