“well, first of all. I've never been here before. we wanted somewhere close because we need to go to HEB right after, it's right down the street from it. I don't understand all the negative reviews. pros. the chicken fajita quesadillas were freaking tasty. a lot of flavor. all the food had flavor. cons: the beans were very watery but tasty. the rice tasted like Spanish sticky rice but that also was very good. the salsa for the chips was a complete let down. very watered down but smelled good. taste wasn't there. I don't know why they make it like that, it looked like water with some spices in it. I would come here again but not for awhile. my wife got the menudo and she said it was full of flavor and tasted great. all I'm saying is give it a chance at least one time but their is room for improvement.”

For our entrees, short rib (4/5), scallops (5/5) and the duck&foie (4/5). Topped it off with the butter cake for dessert (4/5). “Recommended by my new dentist’s office staff, first time visiting this restaurant. The food is authentic with generous portions and homemade tortillas. The service was prompt and friendly with the waitress checking on me 3 times during my meal. Two salsas were on the table and I received a basket of tortillas chips and salsa when the menu was provided. A bakery case caught my eye when I first entered but I resisted (it was difficult). They have a large parking lot and a drive thru for those with less time. I gave them 4 stars because the bathroom was so small that the stall door hit the toilet and entry for wheelchair users could be a challenge.”

“It was our first time going. We all enjoyed our food. The complimentary sampler plate was a nice surprise. We liked everything on there. You get a sample of the following, clam chowder, jalapeño bisque, gumbo, crab bisque, and fried oysters. The main meal was delicious! We got the salmon nachos as an appetizer. We had a cup of clam chowder, the BBQ Salmon tacos, the shrimp tacos, and the fish sandwich with fries. We were going to eat dessert, but they were all out of the bread pudding. We will definitely be returning.”

“After being introduced to a new manager by watching her be rude to employees and me, I’ll save around $3,000 a year by avoiding this place. I have an espresso machine, I was being lazy because I appreciate the positive interaction on stressful mornings. I’m so glad that I was able to take a 20 minute moment to reflect, and really, not one employee looked happy or had a word to say so maybe this is the new model in leadership. Anyway, huge shout out to the entire staff aside from the presumed new manager who made this morning rough where nice once was. Thanks again for the time and circumstances to reflect on my poor spending habit- 10/10 not worth.”

Food is unbelievable good as well! The piggy drink is delicious…I substituted the rum for vodka and best piggy drink I’ve ever had! Only downside is parking but that’s for every business in the area. Just add that into your travel time.”

Presa Street or if you're looking for an after work drink. There is ample street parking available with easy access to other bars, shops, or restaurants in the area. The drinks are thoughtful, delicious, and flavorful! I appreciated the art wall they had as they were showcasing a local artist and even allowing sales of the artwork. They keep ambience in mind with clean and well maintained decorations. Overall. this bar is definitely a solid choice!”

They could have said, "Sorry, we're closed already; we'll be sure to credit your account for the inconvenience and refund your money," but instead, I got super fresh food and friendliness.
