“Fabulous overnight. This was just 2 minutes from I35 but felt like a simple park out in the country. No highway noise or highway exhaust, no lights or activity - just a quiet and peaceful night. The park looks to have two sides. Our side offered gravel sites with a cute covered shed in lieu of a picnic table. (As we seemed to be in the middle of the country we called it our very own cow shed.) Hook up was easy, sites were well spaced, we felt safe, and management was great. Jackie answered our call, was friendly, allowed us to come in a little late, met us when we arrived, and the next day let us check out a bit late so we could have lunch at Clear Springs. They are strict about noise, so it was amazingly peaceful. This was NOT a typical off the interstate campground! TIP: The camp is easy to get to off I35 but go slow as the road is a bit narrow and has a couple of odd turns. We had no trouble with our RV and towed car but I was glad it was daylight and I could easily see. The camp has two entrances and it's easy to miss the first. I would call ahead and get directions for your site as we found it much easier to use the second entrance to reach our site and the first entrance looked narrow. We would definitely stay here again. Where else can you camp and enjoy a night in the country air under your own mini cow shed? Very unique experience!”

“Had an amazing experience at the Gruene B&B! Was staying in one of the cabins with some family and had a blast playing games and listening to music all night. Such a cute little place and the owners made us feel right at home. Very clean which was a great bonus! Hopefully we'll be back for a visit soon!”

“I love this campground!!!😆😆It wasn’t crowded, The shallow river was just nearby(which is kid friendly). You can set tents nearby the river, set an RV or rent the cabins. The cabins were very cute and cozy; It has a full size bed ,ac/heater ,picnic Tables , and ring pit . All you need is extra pillows and blankets and your ice chest packed. The owners were very friendly and nice thank you I’m definitely coming back with more family here 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼”

“My fiance and I have never ever taken a vacation just us. It has always been family vacations that were always so hectic with 10+ people. When we started planning this vacation, we looked at a lot of different options, called around, weren't having any luck. Then, Corner Star popped up. I contacted Christine and she was so informative and helpful. She gave us multiple recommendations for dining, bars, tubing, parks, and so much more. She was patient when I asked a bunch of questions and showed us the utmost kindness. The RV slot we got was shaded, which was awesome since we have a bulldog who gets super hot quickly. The whole park was clean, upkeep was great, and everything was in working order. The spot was easy to get into as well. Everything is close to this spot, the scenery is beautiful, and it was so peaceful our whole trip. It rained and never got muddy or gave us a hard time. Needless to say, we will definitely be staying here again and have recommended this place to any family who may want to take a trip to New Braunfels/Canyon Lake. Christine, you are awesome! Thank you so much for having us. For whoever is reading this, definitely look to Corner Star Cabin and RV Park! I could not recommend this place more.”

“This B&B is very cozy and very close to everything in Gruene! Our host David was exceptionally accommodating! He provided a great fresh breakfast every morning. He even surprised my wife and I with wine in our room as well as lemon iced cake for dessert. We stayed in the Clock Haus which was small yet cozy. We slept on a pull out couch bed which wasn't the most comfortable but it did the trick. We were able to see the other properties: Pharmacy, Main House, Log Cabin. We would definitely recommend the Log Cabin for a nice romantic getaway away. I love the detail and history here and mostly love David who was so gracious and had great stories regarding the property. Would definitely recommend and come back! Sports comparison: Dirk Nowitzki”

“Picked a bad spot I guess. Port-o-potty was for about 25 people and was a walk. Wasn't serviced Saturday so couldn't use it and had to go uphill across the street. Showers are also across the street. Apparently there are showers on site but were not walking distance from our site. No trash cans around. Had to drive it to the dumpster. River was awesome.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the Gruene Hotel & Retreat! We stayed in the Cozy Cabin room the first night and had to move rooms the second night because they didn’t have consecutive rooms available due to my last minute booking. They were super accommodating and helpful. We were able to just switch our stuff over right across the hall. The place itself is so cute and cozy. The beds and pillows are awesome - very comfy. BREAKFAST - AMAZING!!! Love it! We will be back.”

“I'm giving this park a 4 because it seems they have tried to make something as good as it can be under some pretty difficult circumstances. The park is mainly (90%) concrete surface. The bathrooms were clean but very dated. But the elephant in the room is the traffic noise. Holy cow ! The park is immediately under three major Interstate bridges. It just roars incessantly 24 hours a day. Pretty little river, the Guadalupe but man so glad we were only there for a couple of days. Nice attendants. Maybe I should have said 3 ...oh well. Good luck. Bring your ear plugs.”

“Whenever not booked this is where I will be staying when in this area. From the first conversation to the thank you card after my stay nothing but delight. Now let’s talk about my stay. I haven’t had a more relaxing weekend in sometime. The cottage is clean clean clean and has everything you’ll need to have a more than comfortable stay. Nice and cool and everything worked. I sat most the time outside and enjoyed the front area. I could so live here ha ha ha !! Now my two frenchies Hazel and Eloise gave a eight paws up to their accommodations, clean, cool everything set up for them a comfortable stay. Was so nice being able to have my pups staying with me. Also I stay most of my visits in private vacays and this one is top notch also the owners are so helpful and sweet but don’t intrude on you relaxing but are there if you need them. Would recommend this amazing gem to anyone!!!!! Thank you so much y’all !!!”
