Pelican Point

I loved it there... The ducks were REALLY friendly and nice.... They were just gorgeous! The people were friendly and kind also.... Nice all around

As the name implies, there are pelicans, ducks, geese, loons, and a large variety of other water fowl that hangout in the area for nesting, feeding, etc. The area is well maintained by the parks department considering the amount of people that come out to see the birds and enjoy the park. There is litter here and there but the Love of the Lake group does frequent cleanups and are always adding volunteers to their crew.

Park and take a walk around the lake, the views are motivated, 9 miles all around, it took me 3 hours walking to go around. Great place to walk, jog, run and cyclists. Kids and adults will enjoy this place equally, young crowd do calisthenics Sunday mornings.

Our son (1½ yrs old) loved watching the birds flying around. Nice, peaceful place; if you show up at the right time of the day. Can get a bit crowded, but the views are great.
