“I've lived at Water's Edge Villas — a peaceful and safe gated community — for almost five years. During the first couple of years of my residency, ownership changed hands and a few property managers came and left, so things were not always timely handled. However, since Tina (current property manager) arrived on the scene, responsiveness has greatly improved and nothing is left undone. Tina is professional, courteous, and efficient; and she jumps through hoops to keep tenants happy. Eric (maintenance) is polite and proficient. I frequently see him out early in the morning making sure the grounds are clean and well maintained. Tina and Eric are quite a dynamic duo! The community has been almost totally renovated during my residency, save the abodes of a couple long-term tenants. The renovation includes new flooring, appliances, and fixtures (blinds, etc.) in all residences. The color scheme is pleasant and comfortable. Community amenities at Water's Edge include covered parking/garage (at an additional cost), a pool, playground, outdoor kitchen, and fitness center. The pool is typically open sometime in June through September (I believe), and is reasonably well maintained. The fitness center is only accessible through the pool area, and therefore is not always available. It would be great if the fitness center were more readily accessible…like a coded lock so tenants could have access at their convenience. Overall, Water's Edge is a great place with wonderful people.”

“Oh. My. God. Good eats, I'm telling you after having spent eating my way through all of the local Indian spots in this area! I moved from Plano and needed a fix nearby without making it into a journey. Honest people run this place with killer portion sizes. It appears that both Indians and people of other ethnicities visit, crowd is very mixed and I feel that's a good thing. The options are simpler, catered for the Western palette, and sometimes you don't want to be too adventurous. Bring your friends here, the atmosphere is clean and simple. Modest place man.”

“A piece of heaven is the best way to describe this premiere Assisted Living Community in Rowlett, Tx. We had my father living here during his last year of life. The director Shannon was a joy to work with. She was extremely helpful and very attentive to all our needs. When we had to bring hospice care for my dad, Shannon gracefully opened a vacant unit across from my dad, so that the family could rest and be close by. The staff is very loving, respectful and accommodating. They are always looking after the residents, providing them with the best compassionate care so that residents can have a better quality of life. We are so grateful to all the staff at The Oaks, who helped make my dad’s last year of life a memorable experience. Thank you!”

“We love training at Young's White Tiger Taekwondo in Rowlett. Master Lee is a great instructor. My husband has a black belt in Aikido, and I have a black belt in Okinawan karate. We've both had multiple instructors over the years, so we know a good instructor when we see one. Master Lee is one of the best instructors we've trained under over the years. Our five year old son trains in the little tigers class, and my husband and I both enjoy our adult class. We highly recommend this martial arts school to anyone who has been wanting to try their hand at something new.”
