“Drive was about 45 minutes from downtown El Paso to the ranger station. Beautiful drive about 15 minutes before entering the actual park. If you enjoy looking at rocks/boulders, this is the place to go. Everywhere you look, there's amazing views. If this is your first time, you'll need to watch a video about the history and preservation, this is valid for one year. It is 7$ per person. Rangers are all very friendly and knowledgeable. Went in the early morning, make sure to pack water, hikes are short, but there is not much shade. A great place to learn and explore, a section is only available for self guided tours, there are guided tours available that let you explore more of the park. Definitely recommend going to this hidden gem. Encountered a few folks that were bouldering. A very family friendly place. Really appreciate all the that has been done to make sure this area is preserved and well maintained for many, many more generations to enjoy. There were lots and lots of wildflowers throughout the trails. Also, beware of the rattle snakes, saw two in the early morning, be alert, give them their space.”

“We stopped at Fabens for the night on our way back from California the day after Thanksgiving and it was snowing a little further up on our trail so we decided to play it safe and got a room for the night. It was pretty late when we arrived but the front desk was still available we got a room with two beds for 125. They're linens or clean and so comfortable! I wanted to steal the pillows and the comforter seriously lol most comfortable bed I slept on through my whole week trip. The coffee machine Hot sugar and coffee available the pot that was not glass which I appreciated and the bathroom was clean and spacious. There was Wi-Fi and heat which we were grateful for all of it. The woman at the front desk was also very friendly and has a lot of plants like basil and eggplant and peppers growing on her premises which I thought was genius.”

“My family and I LOVE hideaway lake! The staff is always friendly and always willing to help with whatever you need. We were there this weekend and our friends got stuck in the sand and the staff didn't hesitate to assist and help. During our stay, the staff went to our campsite and asked if we needed anything and if we are doing well! Amazing and so comforting to have such attentive and friendly staff. Thank you Hideaway lake for always making our stay there a wonderful experience! We always look forward to going back sooner than later! Love, The Braziel Family”

“We stopped in for dumping only, the service was friendly and accommodating. The cost was a very reasonable $10. They even allowed us to fill our fresh tank with potable water, a big PLUS! Thank you Road Host! The place was not full, but it was a Tuesday afternoon... While you are parking on solid ground, we didn’t see any grass, the spaces are roomy and can accommodate a 45’ RV pulling a trailer, just fine. Why only 4 stars? I hold 5 stars for the reviews of “full” experiences using all services, of which we did not. ~~Please give this review the THUMBS UP if it helped you find out more about this location. Thank you!~~”

“The Hacienda is a terrific place to stay while climbing in Hueco Tanks. I was impressed and look forward to staying there again on my next visit. The Hacienda is incredibly close to the Park— I opened the curtains in my room each morning to see where we would be climbing. The accommodations are spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The kitchen has plenty of cookware, and I loved all of the recovery tools in the great room. Kyung is a thoughtful and gracious host, and his sourdough bread was a real treat. Mike is an excellent guide with plenty of helpful insight. Arranging tours with him through the Hacienda is super convenient. Their rentable crash pads sure came in handy.”

“Completely excited to stay at this awesome suite! Customer service is OUTSTANDING! Staying here during improvements on our home. Husband is deployed so my son and I needed a clean, safe and friendly place to stay for a few days. Erik, Amy and John have went above and beyond not only to meet our needs, but to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Even got a call from Erik to see if we were pleased with our room and could call anytime for anything and he would be glad to help. Still one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed. My son is probably not going to want to leave lol thank you guys so much for your hospitality and kindness. I hope they get rewarded for their hard work and excellent customer service!😊👍🏽👍🏽 will be our first go to place if we ever need a place to stay again. Told family and friends as well how much we love it here!”

“7/4/2022 Update. The owners have really cleaned up the place woth providing port a potties through out the lakes and also have bait l, ice and snacks for purchase. This a great place to fish. Very friendly staff along with really clean grounds. We have always caught big catfish. Bring the entire family and you'll have a great day or even camp right next to the water with a good campfire.”

“Just happen to drive by and stopped in due to the huge smiley face on the building and stayed for a week! Great community of climbers that made a nonclimber feel right at home. Owner is doing and amazing job making it better every year. Just upgraded the shower and it was amazing. Free cup of coffee every morning was worth the low price for camping alone. Not a sterile corporate place like a KOA or Starfucks but the type of place you want for community and a great experience.”

“I stayed here for close to month while tending to my father, who was a patient in a nearby hospital. The entire hotel was very clean. But where this place really shined, was the staff. Everyone, from the desk clerks, housekeeping, and the breakfast server were extremely kind and very accommodating. They couldn’t have been nicer. They definitely made my stay here a very pleasant experience during a very stressful time.”

“Location, location, location. Within walking distance to all the shops and best restaurants in the square. Within a mile of many residential areas. Enjoyed my stay. The room was good although I agree with some reviews on the water temperature being smoldering hot. Just learn how many turns on the temperature knobs and stick with it. Bed was comfortable, fitness center was very small but did the job. The best part was the service from the front desk. It was beyond my expectations. Mini fridge for my medication was delivered quickly to my room upon check in. Would highly recommend”
