I love the simple old school shop, a great alternative to those chain "barbers" who just swipe an electric razor over your head a few times and call it done. “I get my hair colored with a curated cut here with Louis Lopez. Best colorist and stylist imo. My hair always stay so healthy even after bleaching. Louis is a magician with hair. The salon space itself is super cute and bright. Everyone is extremely friendly and parking is pretty easy. Located across the street from Menil Museum.”

“Tldr, Shy is the best. Came in on Sunday after Thanksgiving bc I needed an emergency haircut and there were no other haircutters that were open in the Montrose area. Hands down the best haircut I've had in a long time. Shy is a hair pro. I have thin hair and curls. This means that it can be difficult to cut right. I came in not knowing what to expect but I can say that Shy exceeded my wildest imagination. She's raised my standards of what a good cut looks and feels like. I love that she uses J.
