“My wife and I went bicycling from Bayou Parkland and rode accross the bridge into Hermann Park. Bayou Parkland was a convenient place to park for access to the trails and the restroom there was clean. I can't say if it was typical but at least on this day there was plenty of parking. I was a little bit concerned about security because there was a person sitting in his car that wasn't going anywhere. I did not see any security cameras. After circling the park we rode along the bayou for a few miles then back. It was a beautiful sunny day and overall the trails were in pretty good shape. the trails could have been been maintained better but they weren't bad. As we got farther away from Bayou Parkland, the trail system had more grade crossings than I was used to on the trails around San Antonio.”

“We visited the Houston zoo for the first time in about 15 years. They have made so many improvements and are still adding more exhibits. We are looking forward to seeing the new Texas wetlands exhibit, it will open this summer. We had a 9 and 15 year old with us and they enjoyed it too. The little elephant Tilly, entertained us with her playing in the mud. We can't wait to visit again.”

“One of the best places in Houston to spend an evening enjoying live performances. Outdoor seating is plenty, but arriving half hour earlier is recommended especially if you are spreading your blanket and enjoying drinks or dinner before the show.”

“Great park in the middle of Houston. Adjacent to medical center, and a stone's thrown from downtown, Hermann Park is the hub for all Htown's museums, Miller Outdoor Theater and the Zoo. Plenty to do in the park with Japanese gardens, paddle boats, sculptures, and a train around the peripheral.”

“I came by the snoballs place right at closing. Ninja turtle flavor....Yum. They ran out of condensed milk, but went to the back to opened a new container. The snoballs are tasty. The service is really appreciated. I'll get one everytime I go to Miller Outdoor.”

“Visited the zoo on December 10, 2018, Monday. The zoo has a good assortment of animals, is clean, has a lot of snacks and food available, and a lovely pond in the entrance. The parking lot is free, external, therefore not covered. I recommend feeding lettuce to the giraffes (twice a day) and the gorillas. The gorillas inside the "aquarium" are playful, and sit close to the glass, so one can get a very close look at them.”

“This park is family friendly and lots to do with the kids. We go here all the time and we always have a blast. The parking is a bit challenging because there are always more visitors than parking. Parking is free.”
