The staff is the best you will get from any psychiatric hospital and Dr. Maxwell DEFINITELY knows what she's doing. My anxiety decreased dramatically whenever I adhered to her suggestions. Though this wasn't the proper hospital for my primary diagnosis (limbic encephalitis and PANDAS), Maxwell took that into consideration and even offered me to leave early since she was not trained to aid in those diagnosis. However, anxiety is definitely an issue I face and I owe a lot to her for helping me with that. Lonestar, thank you for your patience and aid.
I was a patient here for about 9 months in 2012. They have great Doctors and great therapists. They have therapy where you talk to horses that was my favorite. They also utilize many other types of therapy and group therapies. Come with an open mind and you can find healing.
This place overall has helped me in more than one way. Program is decent, therapists are very good at what they do. There are some issues with techs. But they can be talked with and overall, as long as one shows and expects respect, you will benefit tremendously here.
