“This place was totally awesome! My husband, son and I stayed a week and I can't remember the last time I could just relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the bay right out the front windows! The caretaker is great, very helpful and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. I would recommend staying here for a great fishing/hunting location! Lighted pier, nice quiet area and they even decorated for Christmas!! Had a lovely time!”

“Spent a few days at La Pesca for a company sales meeting. The hospitality, amenities and meals were top notch. The attention to detail was amazing. All the staff created a great experience, and the guides were all local professionals who have fished Baffin Bay all their lives. Can't wait to go back!”

“Very nice and quiet place. The house was very clean and nice when we showed up. TV in the living room for the kiddos. The pier was nice and got us deep enough to do some good fishing. The hut that had the Foosball table and pool table was a little warm during the day however it was 110 with the heat index. A whole lot more manageable at night to shoot pool play foosball or throw down some cards. Swimming pool was cool, the kiddos had a great time in it.”

“Good Day... It is not very often I take the time to leave a review. To support this I have been on the road for 6 months and this is my 2nd review. I will not speak of check in, staff, or issues that do not have any importance to myself... If you have time to stay here for 1 week or a month you will not be dissapointed unless you are looking to play load music, party with other campers and guests. Totally Quiet, Super Clean, Most Helpful, and amazing accommodations and RV Sites... The near by parks and services are also excellent.. Fishing is great as well... Respectfully Submitted...”

“We used the Rec hall for a family reunion. It’s a really nice facility. We used it several years ago, and now it’s been remodeled. They did an awesome job on it. First class kitchen, ice machine, nice, clean restrooms. It’s within a real nice RV Park as well. Good fishing near by, as well as a couple of 1st class seafood restaurants.”

“It's was very exciting because it was very nice. And friendly and the environment was great. There was this one particular house keeper name Maria Santana she was very nice& friendly. She did a wonderful job cleaning my room and asked if I needed anything. Just to let her know. And I would most definitely tell my friends about it Sincerely Angie Chapa.”

“The road is like driving down an off road course. I could imagine if you live there for an extended amount of time the suspension on an older vehicle might wear quick. There were dead tree limbs all over. It would make for a great movie location for an abandoned RV park, maybe zombies would walk out around a corner. I would be nervous to park my truck over night.”

“Went there with friends that had been there before and were extremely impressed. Beautiful grounds, owners were great, rooms spotless, very good price.. Five stars are not enough. This ain't your average B&B. Would definately recommend, Also dock and fishing very good. Will be back.”

“I have to say it was a great experience. Clean room and great service until I called back the day we left to see if they had any vacancy for another day. I called and explained that I had previously stayed there that night and was looking for another day. Man at front desk was so rude and specified he had no rooms. Not sure how you had no more rooms with an empty parking lot. Definitely need a better desk clerk with no attitude. He is not a people person and if He was the owner he could surly learn to treat everyone with Kindness. Not sure I would recommend this facility. 4 stars was given before I had the conversation with desk clerk. Sad sad”

“I have been staying here since 90's. I keep coming back because it is well managed and the staff is super friendly. Christie keeps place running like a fine oiled machine, awhile Soon Mi and here staff keeps the rooms clean. They keep up with the property and done some remodeling and the rooms are comfortable and feels like home away from home. I would recommend this property and give it a 5 star rating. Don't let the property name misguided you. A must stay !”

“Perfect view of the fireworks on the 4th and New Years since they're adjacent to the public boat ramp. Everybody goes there to pop fireworks and if you sit on the pier you can watch free fireworks for about an hour. Caught a monster drum and my dog had a great time running around the yard. Love this place. Will be back many many times”

“We where going to camp on North Beach but there was a coastal flood advisory so we decided to venture into the National Seashore (US fee area ) . We had to pay $25 which is a 7 day pass (no other option if your staying past midnight). The camp ground was full at Malachite Beach and decided to head to Bird Island Basin! The campsites were 90% Full all with RV’s. We had our tents After driving to the end we saw a very Faint sing that said parking only for day use and tent camping ? There are no marked camp areas for the location but there are canopy’s and a picnic table too close the water! After deliberating with my spouse we decided it was be best to head to the visitors center and verify weather or not we could camp at that location? Once we got there we had to show them the are on the map! They agreed it was ok ! We headed back and set up camp! It was great but very windy and a bit chilly my kids and wife were awesome! I recommend the area just be aware of poor signs and when you enter the park I hope you don’t have to encounter the rude park attendant who took our many and treated us like were stupid! She could of at least smiled! My dream job was to be a park ranger! She looked like she hates it!”

“We have been here two months and love the peace and quiet. Great access to the bay, private pier, private catch and release pond. Most everything one would need is pleasant drive to Kingsville, and if you need more alternatives and tourist attractions, Corpus Christi 50-60 minutes away. Great seafood is within walking distance, or you just make your own. Nice convenience store, bait shop, and gas .8 miles. Public boat launch, fishing pier, and park less than a mile away.”

“Padrick and his family are golden. Over all the years my wife and my family have stayed at Baffin Bay Lodge, we have always been extremely happy with the accommodations. The family suites are always clean, fresh and accommodating for a weekend or extended stay, as we usually do. I can’t say enough about this place! I fell in love with the Baffin Bay Area, not in small part with the Lodge. If you ever need a place to decompress, this is the place to go! Did I fail to mention there is a great place to eat across the road? Awesome! Thanks Padrick, for all you have done for me and my family. You have always gone the extra mile for us!”

“Nice little place to stay if you are passing through or working in the area. The family that owns it is great and very helpful with anything you need. The rooms are cleaned daily, and the beds are comfortable. It has a nice pool and each room has their own dedicated parking spot. Food close by also. By far one of the best motels I have stayed at.”

“This place is the perfect spot for a large group! There is plenty of space and with the expansion, the options are limitless. Our family had a fantastic time and look forward to booking again soon. The outdoor area is great for fishing, fires, and quality time with family. Couldn’t recommend this place more for a quiet weekend getaway! The owners are also extremely responsive and accommodating for all of your needs.”

“My husband and I just got home from an enjoyable nights stay at Malaquite Campground. When you want to camp at the beach but not directly on the beach, it’s the perfect spot. It’s a short walk to the beach, the wind and waves are relaxing, stargazing was awesome and the sunrise today was amazing! Our camp host, Karen Thomas, was the best. She was very welcoming and helpful and she keeps a good eye on the campground. The bathrooms and the entire place was very clean. I have no complaints. Can’t wait to return.”
