“Keith was fantastic. Very professional, very comfortable having him in my home, did not need help getting up or down and was great at answering when I asked questions. He even handed me decorative bits while they were pulled off so I could clean them up and have a nicer looking shower. That one-star review below made me hesitant when I was looking for a plumber, but I have no idea what happened there because my service was fantastic. Bill seemed reasonable, wasn’t super cheap but I know plumbers are notoriously expensive.”

“Edit... came back again the next night for a second run. Again, the staff is as welcoming as the food is delicious. This time we saved room for tiramisu and cannoli...WOW. Vacation calories don't count... right? Seriously, go give these guys your business. 5 stars aren't nearly enough. This place is FANTASTIC! Susan and the team took great care of us. It's hard to say which we enjoyed more, the food or the hospitality. Both were excellent and both made for an unforgettable experience that we were not expecting. After a long day at the beach, shopping, exploring, etc. my family was just looking for a quick pizza when we stumbled onto their reviews and gave it a shot. Susan pointed to the lasagna as a specialty of the house... ✔️. We added two pizzas; half cheese/half pineapple, and a chicken, mushroom, spinach with Alfredo sauce. Can't forget the calamari appetizer that got the party started. The calamari was really well seasoned and crispy. The lasagna was definitely the star player; robust meat sauce, cheesy, and generously portioned. The pizzas were large with lots of great toppings. The crust was a little more bready than I normally like, but that's just a personal preference. No disappointments here... Everything was super delicious! (We didn't have room for dessert, but those looked awesome too! Cannoli, anyone? ) Dont be deceived by the exterior. This is definitely a "don't judge a book by its cover" kind of place. Walking in, you are immediately met with a welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere. Spacious dining room and a great bar. Live music was featured on the night we were there. We left stuffed, happy, and feeling like we made a treasured discovery that we hope to visit again and again. I completely and absolutely recommend Island Italian!”

“Excellent instruction and many class choices in older grades! Especially good for advanced students and Math team in 5th-8th grade is one of the best in the state! All 7 of my children attended and did very well in acedemics, music, athletics, and socially. They loved going to school here and were motivated to stay before and after school for extracurricular. 5 of my children graduated Flour Bluff High school so far! This has been our school choice since 2011 and still have 2 students in 2020! Go Hornets!”

“The employees were were very friendly and explained the rules clearly. The pool and grounds are very clean. The one thing I would change is the hours for the ones that just wanted to swim and relax. Two hours a day just doesn't seem to be enough. The lap swimmers get a lot more time and there aren't as many of them.”

“We first met Rhonda and Mike when we were trying to buy a house on the Island 16 years ago while we were on an overseas assignment. Thanks to Rhonda, we were able to find the right house with very limited time in country as she understood our needs and did not waste our time on homes that did not line up. She coordinated the closing by "remote control" enabling us to fly in, sign the papers and move in. Over the course of our ownership we continued to work with Mike and Rhonda to find contractors and other service providers. They know EVERYONE. Later in our ownership we converted the house to a rental and had Mike and Rhonda manage it for 6 years while we were away and then sell it for us. They went way over and above the call of duty in taking care of our house and our tenants, enabling us to remain "hands off" knowing our home was in the best hands. When we decided to sell, Rhonda talked me off the ledge several times, preventing me from dropping the home price for a quicker sell. We got a quick sell afterall and she was dead on right about the value of the home, getting us the best price possible. I highly recommend Abbey Homes Real Estate.”
