“This campground was absolutely beautiful! The staff in the office were very customer/guest friendly, efficient, and very helpful. The campsites were large, and we didn't feel cramped or crowded by the sites next to us. Very quiet, peaceful, and we felt safe. The entire campground was well maintained. We loved every minute of our week spent there. We highly recommend this campground and will be back next year.”

“I once went here as a kid for an overnight school field trip and remember this place very fondly. I hope to see it again someday. I remember the gazebo where we ate our meals and walking into the tall grass field where we set up little traps for mice/rats where there was a lesson on the different species. I remember I had ended up catching a pygmy mouse and it being the only one in the group. I remember sleeping in the house with the bunk beds and the deer head hanging on the wall. I was maybe 11 at the time and am now 25. Forgot the name of this place till looking to move into the area from Houston.”

“Stayed here with my family of 3 and dogs. We will coming back and soon. Great park, clean and very peaceful feeling. We didn’t use the bathhouse as we stayed in our travel trailer but everything else was perfect. RV sites are mostly leveled in a pull through paved and concrete pad but is mostly dirt. Must of them have a picnic table in concrete slab and with aluminum shelter so you don’t have the sun on top of you while eating outside. We stayed in site 27, has shadows and no neighbors in the back. Be aware that you are camping in nature, a lot of ants around I recommend to wear closed shoes. Really amazing park.”

“Entrances need work. Theyre adding more spaces. The owner is super nice and helpful. Close to the highway so you'll hear that noise. Residents are quiet though. Has on-site laundry and soda machines and a coin change machine! Rv spaces are spacious, fit 2 trucks or maybe 3 cars. All spaces have picnic tables which is nice. All spaces are paved too and have 2 sewage connections. Electric connections are also super nice and organized and light up when on and turn off when there's an outage so that's helpful in a storm.”

“Great park in my home town. The splash pad is fun and I know during this pandemic has been tough on the whole community but stay positive and it'll be fun again. The skateboard park/pad is amazing, years ago my friends and I tried to get a skateboard park built and it is awesome that the young people that worked hard to get it built and placed at Speck Aiken Park did an Awesome job. Y'all need to take advantage of it and get out there and skate ❤🤙❤🤙❤🤙❤”

“This is a great baseball and basketball but the problem that I have and anyone else I have talked to, why are the fields not open to the tax paying citizens of this town. Its seems very greedy and controlling of something that WE essentially pay for. Maybe someone can answer me back on this.”

“Great, open atmosphere to allow your little ones to play. Usually, the splash pad is open or will open soon, that aside, during these unusual and uncertain times, members of the community practice social distancing while understanding kids will be kids and want to play with one another. The city does a great job keeping the park clean a debris free.”

“I love that the park is down a hill and away from the road. It does not have a swing set but it has two sets of slides, monkey bars and a bench close to the playground. The park also offers picnic tables and a walkway to the dunes. The kids love to explore and climb them. Great local park!”
