“While visiting family during the Thanksgiving holidays, we decided to book a last minute hotel room. We opted to give AVID a try not just once but for three nights in a row. We were pleasantly surprised. From check-in to check-out, we had friendly customer service with a smile. The first night, we stayed in Room 417 with two queen beds thinking our son was going to say with us. The bed, pillows, linens & comforter were so comfortable! Nights two & three were spent in room 428 with a king size bed. Again, we slept very comfortably. If we had any neighbors, we never heard them. Thank you Raymond and team for helping make our stay wonderful! Next time we’re in town, this will be our go to hotel. Keep up the great customer service with a smile!!”

“Stayed here with my family of 3 and dogs. We will coming back and soon. Great park, clean and very peaceful feeling. We didn’t use the bathhouse as we stayed in our travel trailer but everything else was perfect. RV sites are mostly leveled in a pull through paved and concrete pad but is mostly dirt. Must of them have a picnic table in concrete slab and with aluminum shelter so you don’t have the sun on top of you while eating outside. We stayed in site 27, has shadows and no neighbors in the back. Be aware that you are camping in nature, a lot of ants around I recommend to wear closed shoes. Really amazing park.”

“Absolutely amazing. Second to none A must try if you love tacos. TLDR version It is the most authentic family run taqueria experience I have had in Texas in a long time. Walked in and it smelled like my Abuela's house. The brightly colored plywood, hand written menu, and beautiful family art/aesthetics presents the Mendez family's amazing taqueria. The Barbacoa Tacos were phenomenal and probably one of the best I have ever had. Handmade tortillas, the meat is not to greasy or dry. Soft tender meat that isn't mealy or tired, but has soft melt in your mouth feel. I sincerely appreciate barbacoa that isn't a greasy disaster. The green salsa that's comes with it, is a pleasantly spicy but not overwhelming salsa. Got a few other tacos staples like the chorizo and egg and their Mendez special. The Mendez special is definitely for the Taco heads who like that greasy messy hangover taco. Packed with spam, potatoes, cheese and all things breakfast, it shines through your soul. Literally it glistens in the right lighting. The other items we had a chance to try were amazing. This is our new spot everytime we come through the area and I highly recommend it as a destination taco place for any taco aficionado.”
