“Several years ago, this place saved my birthday when all I wanted was to go tubing but I wanted to sleep late too! The river is low right now, but we went back and they've built on, it's nicer than the "more popular" alternatives and more importantly, the people there are SO nice. General store, very nice restrooms with hot showers- This is THE place when the water gets back up- we floated anyway today and still had a great time. Will definitely go back when their shuttle is operating after some sweet rain :)”

“We had a wonderful and peaceful stay in the Valley View Cabin at Brazos House Retreat. The cabin was clean and comfy, with all the fixings for coffee. Our host even brought us some fresh eggs from their hens. We enjoyed petting the donkeys and a nice visit from their sweet dog. Time spent on the front porch in the morning gave us the perfect sunrise. The road to the cabin that we stayed in is gravel and a little steep reaching the top of the hill, so it would not be the best cabin choice for a low clearance vehicle. Thank you to the Myers for their hospitality.”

“May I give 10 stars? My life being constantly full of rescued pets, I've had experience with Vets in various cities. Not one of them can compare to Dr. Crabtree and his extremely well trained, professional staff. Besides routine ear cleanings, etc. he recently did surgery on my dog and one of my cats. He is clear in explanations, confident in approach and his compassion shows through with every visit. It is refreshing to put my trust in a Veterinarian who is in it for his love of and respect to animals. Added benefit is no price gouging here. He and his crew are very considerate of 'pet parents'.
