I have been a patient of Dr. Coulter Smith for almost 10 years. Her medical knowledge, procedural competency and communication skills are all fantastic. Her assisting/nursing staff is also great. The wait time and reschedule requests can be a pain even when utilizing the option of using a different office (over 1/2 hour drive for me) to reschedule after she gets called away. It has been an unhappy experience when I showed up early for an appointment and was told that she was not going to be able to see me after making the long drive. But all in all I understand that it is the nature of her job that she may get called away. There is usually a nurse practitioner to step in but I've never taken advantage of that for routine exams due to history questions/followup. I may try that in the future to make this situation more manageable.

I have been a patient of Dr Coulter-Smith for 17 years. She (and the nurse practitioners) have always been great. They are a busy practice, and sometimes she is called out, but then the NP completes the visit.

I have no issues with her being called out for an emergency or to deliver a baby. I'm lucky that my visits are routine in nature.

I have been a patient of Dr. Coulter-Smith's for over 10 years. She has delivered both of my babies, one of which was high-risk and required frequent weekly check-in's for most part of the pregnancy. I also plan to have her administer the Essure birth control insertion which she came highly recommended by a medical professional who used Dr. Coulter-Smith and explained that she was one of the first doctors in the area who was trained in this procedure. I am very particular when choosing my doctors, the bedside manner is greatly important to me as well as the education and confidence my doctor provides. Dr. Coulter-Smith exhibits all of these things - and more. She is extremely easy to talk to, answers and explains everything thoroughly, she gives me very honest opinions of pros and cons on everything from medication, procedures, saving my baby's cord blood, etc. And thus far - she has provided me with amazing medical attention. If you are looking for a new OBGYN or to change from your current one, I promise you will not be let down. Dr. Coulter-Smith is a great find and I highly recomment her to everyone! The wait to get back to be seen by the doctor can sometimes be 15 - 20 minutes, but not always. I agree that the front desk staff could be friendlier - but let's face it, that is a hard position to find a bubbly personality for an employee. All in all - I think the overall office staff are effecient and I've never had a problem with scheduling, billing, insurance claims, etc. So, I am happy with the overall experience.
