(August 12, 2022, 7:08 am)Hang in there! Guided hikes for Bright Leaf will be opening in the future, but I’m not sure when. I do know that the preserve is (newly) now being managed by the Wildlife Conservation division of Austin Water, and they are working to open back up the guided hikes of this gem.
(April 22, 2018, 8:16 pm)Beautiful nature preserve accessible by guided hike only. The hike is relaxed and the history, wildlife and topography of the preserve is celebrated. Visitors gain access to creeks, vistas and other unexpected sites during the 2.5-hour excursion. Hikes are at no cost and provided regularly throughout the year.
