“Stayed here one night and I was very impressed with the non-smoking room. It was very clean, smelled clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The outside does need a facelift, but it was worth the stay. No issues with anyone. Vehicle was safe. Oh and the Mexican restaurant next door is fabulous!! “Beautiful rooms! Small amenities I've never seen in a hotel go a long way. Like instead of a single serving coffee maker they have one with a pot. Ceiling fan over the bed. Not to mention the staff was VERY friendly. A really nice guy, assume he was the owner, even went out of his way to check on me and ask how my room was.”

“I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The staff is amazingly nice and very accommodating. The best hotel if you have a pet as well. They all know my dog by name. Give her treats and always love on her. Piper is loving her stay here as well. I am going on week 4 here due to my place flooding. Hasn’t been a great experience dealing with it and Wasn’t the best time having to stay in a hotel due to covid-19. But, the staff has made the stay for me great and mind at ease. They are very proactive and everything is sanitized. If I could give them 10 stars I would! Such a great GEM in Southwest Austin! Everyone deserves to experience hospitality and customer service like this! I would give them an NPS score of 10, hands down! Now a days....that’s hard to come by!”

This combined with a reasonable price, excellent craftsmanship, and friendly workers resulted in an utter transformation of my property. “Stayed here for nearly a week and the stay was great! Prices were very reasonable and the front desk service was great as well. The rooms were very clean and comfortable too. My only complaint is that room service doesn't clean the rooms every day. I'm hoping in the future they start cleaning the rooms daily. Other than that this is a great place to stay if you need to rent a room for the night or multiple days.”

“They really went the extra mile for me! I had forgotten about a tie that was very sentimental. After 6 months, I finally remembered that I had never picked it up from them. Their policy is not to keep anything around that long, but the manager still had it in her storage and found it right away! And even got a stain out that may have been more than 10 years old. Would highly recommend.”

“this location is easily located right off of i-95 North. The parking lots are well-lit and there was plenty of parking available. The rooms were very clean and up-to-date. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was good. Would recommend this as an easy off-ramp hotel that has quality and that is not shady. Prices were very reasonable. “This hotel is an excellent option for families with young children. The 1 bedroom suite is great because there is a door to separate the living room from the bedroom—spacious enough to set up a pack and play if your little one needs to get to bed before you do. Other kid friendly perks include: TVs in both the living room and bedroom side and a bath tub. The kitchen was clean and had the basic pots/utensils, but we did not use it during our stay. The hotel staff was very accommodating and the rooms were very clean. If you are looking to visit downtown Austin it is a convenient location and there’s a Trudy’s and Buffalo Wild Wings within walking distance. Would definitely stay here in the future.”

“Okay, first of all I must say that Mr and Mrs Strickland we're amazing hosts. They treated us with care and respect as if we were family. If you like historical houses you must see this place. The hardwood floors on the first floor or original White Oak. They have a parlor set up, they have a formal dining room set up. The place is amazing and appears to be historically correct. There is a wrap around porch with comfortable chairs and small tables for visits with friends. The rooms are very comfortable and relatively sound proof. They have spent a lot of time and money restoring this home. Even if you don't stay there please, walk in the front door and speak to either of them. They will gladly give you a tour of the entire facility. They have a pool, and a spa that is in a secluded Alcove. There is an outdoor fireplace by the pool that they always have stock with firewood ready to go. Seriously, if you like historic houses and b&bs and are in downtown Austin you owe it to yourself to see this amazing place.”

“As far as hotels go, this place is doing pretty well. It is one of the few hotels that has a bar and restaurant, even if the offerings are slim. It is nicely located near the mall, so if you need to do some shopping, it is working walking distance. The rooms are nice, I recently stayed in a single King suite. The entrance to the room is separated from the rest of the suite, and acts like an office of sorts. If you need to work from your hotel room, it would make an ideal makeshift cubicle. The bedroom was on the other side of the bathroom, so it was nice and quiet even with the TV in the front room on. The bed is nice and comfortable, and everything was fairly clean. Overall, this hotel is definitely on my "return visit" list.”
