“Cold Harbor is a civil war battlefield that its estimated 5,000 Confederate troops and 13,000 Union troops died. GRANT called the 3 attack he ordered the biggest mistake he made. 5000 Union troops were killed in 30 minutes. Now the area is a park with foot trails, displays and quiet solitude except for the ghosts of the battles. On the road trail you will see Confederate and Union trenches and battlements. The photos are of the park as you drive through. The park visitors center was closed because of the cronovirus.”

Rhonda was such a pleasant person to deal with - she was extremely helpful, very nice, and was quick to respond to text messages and emails. The original bus that we reserved was out of commission, so Rhonda upgraded us to the other bus for the same price. The bus itself was very clean and fit 15 of us very comfortably. Kris was our driver and I have to say, she was the BEST! Not only was she nice, but she was very patient and even went above and beyond to keep us on track with our scheduled route! “Amazing! Comfortable! Convenient! Spotless! Roomy! The folks at VacationCake Rentals show what Texas Hospitality is all about. The charming 3/2 in a cute neighborhood is convenient to the whole city. Walking distance to food and shops, including the world-famous Broken Spoke. The greenbelt is a short walk away, allowing for an easy escape to nature. Downtown is an easy drive, ride or bus away. Jay and his team were accommodating and helpful at every turn. We were stuck because of the pandemic lock-down, but had a home with every comfort. We enjoyed eating outside on the decks, the ease of having our own laundry, and plenty of room for our family. Jay understood our needs and was flexible and kind. VacationCake will be our first choice next time we visit Austin!”
