Overflow Campground

Been going here for years it's really nice when no one's there

Primitive camping in Sam Houston National Forest. Easy access to fishing along West Fork of San Jacinto River just down road. No restrooms or trash cans, except during hunting season when it functions as a Hunter's Camp. Take your trash home and be respectful of other campers. The Lone Star Hiking Trail can be found across Stubblefield Lake Road at the Hiker Trail sign and is marked with white rectangular metal marker on trees.
Please pick up your trash and take it with you. Volunteers who pick up litter would rather be doing wood-working projects like building benches, repairing kiosk, and building signs.

We always just go here. It's just a little lot, but perfect for an overnight stay when all the official sites are booked.

Nice place to take a load off after a long hike. Could really use some fire rings though
