Always a great week of relaxing and nature. The host are helpful, checking with us daily to make sure our stay is everything we expect. This is mainly a great place to fish and the boat launch is one of the best on the lake. Recent burn makes it look bare, but the new growth is already turning green.
Awesome camp ground.. the sites are well kept and ready for fun. The park hosts are just increadible.. great place
A place to get away from it all. Nice big sites in the middle of the forest. Not many sites so I would reserve a spot. Right off the lake with great boating and fishing. Nice trails to hike. Cell service is spotty so now the kids have to be outside!
Fantastic trip. We camped at the campground for 3 nights. There are trails for walking. The boat dock is decent. There were many people here fishing morning and evening. Bathrooms were clean and camp hosts do a good job at staying attentive. We took our boat out for a trip for lunch on the lake at a sail up restaurant. Unfortunately we did hit an unforeseen tree stump and our boat is currently being repaired at a boat shop. Definitely watch out for that. The OHV trails are about 15 min away. I'd suggest making sure your OHV have flags because it is hard to see oncoming vehicles.
Restrooms are clean. Lake is fun to fish. Campsites are as advertised. Woods and could hiking trials could be more dense and prevalent but the proximity to Houston compensates for that. Great place for young kids.
