This was my redemption birth and I can’t recommend Amy and her team highly enough! After listening to the fear mongering of others to have my first birth at the hospital and then being bullied and disrespected during my birth, I knew I was going to have a home birth for my next child. Once I found out I was pregnant again, I met with a few midwives in the area and was undecided until I met with Amy. I’ve never felt so respected and cared for by a provider. Consent to touch me? I was astonished since I was used to providers doing whatever they pleased without consent. The whole experience of prenatal, birth, and postnatal care provided by Amy is amazing. She truly loves what she’s doing, working around the clock to provide us mamas with the care we all deserve. My labor was extremely fast since I was free to move around my home rather than bound to a bed in a hospital. My labor was less than five hours from my first contraction to my last. My body pushed my daughter out in two contractions. I delivered my placenta (the hospital had ripped it out) and then got to rest in my bed with my new family of four. I couldn’t even fathom this as an option after having a terrible experience in the hospital. My partner and I laid there is awe of the experience and laughed at how this is how everyone’s birth should be. At home. In comfort and wonderful care. Having our first two appointments at home was incredible, giving yourself the peace and rest you deserve after bringing a human into this world. My recovery was wonderful since I allowed myself to rest and didn’t feel the need to ‘return to normal’. Both of my children were posterior and the pain I experienced in the hospital was increased from my inability to relax while being poked and prodded by people I don’t know in a place I’ve never been. I will be returning to Amy’s care whenever I find myself pregnant again! Thank you Amy for everything :)

Sigh Amy truly loves what she does and it displays in her care. I welcomed my second child earth side using her and honestly wish I’d found her sooner so she would have been there for my first as well. If you want respectful and knowledgeable prenatal, birth, and postpartum care look no farther.
