My godfathers body was perfect, he looked like he was sleeping and that was remarkable with what his sickness had done to his body. Every part of the service was handled professionally, impeccably, and most important, personally. They are totally sensitive to the family's needs during this time of loss. They were totally accommodating especially since the funeral was on a Saturday and the burial was on the following Tuesday after a holiday Monday at Horton Memorial Cemetery. Many moving parts and pieces handled flawlessly. I knew about the other funeral homes but never knew about Pretlow. My godfather chose them before his death, and now I know why. He said Pretlow treats you like family, and they do. I would highly recommend Pretlow and Sons to anyone requiring funeral services, which we ALL will at some point and time.”

“Took a family trip down to VA for 04-Jul weekend and visited Easy Does It, for us and the kids to experience riding and learning more about the horse. I have to admit upon arriving I was not super enthusiastic. However, upon entering the back and be greeted by Mr. Pickles the kids face lit up with excitement they were sold and so were we. He was as excited to see them as they were to see him. Unfortunately, the trail ride didn’t go as planned but not for lack of trying by the staff. We were able to salvage the experience and had such a blast. I couldn’t imagine it being better on the trail. If it’s your first time please temper ur expectations and have an open mind or just take a kid along they’ll do it for u! 😆 Pairing up an inexperienced rider with a horse especially one you care for is never an ideal situation. Expecting everything to be perfect is a pipe dream. My advise is to have an open mind, reserve judgment and from my experience the staff will work very hard to ensure your experience is great. On our very short trip to VA we were able to fit in quite a few 1st time activities, by far the most enjoyable experience for the kids was the time they spent learning, riding, feeding, petting, brushing … the horse! The staff was very professional, knowledgeable and would very much like to share their love for the animals with you so you can experience that connection. We don’t go to Disney because we are excited about Micky, we do it because the kids are, we are excited to share in that experience, make memories that may live on long after us, some of mine I have added below! Give Easy Does It and their staff a chance to show you why they are so passionate about their horses and IMHO from first hand experience you will have a great time!”

“I had a great experience using Carl's services! My head gasket blew going southbound on the Bay Bridge Tunnel in the work zone on Friday. I called around to a few places but Carl had the quickest available turn around time. Once he got it, he diagnosed the problem and wrote me up a fair quote for what needed to be done. “Griffin and my 1st visit was absolutely perfect! We love Dr. Jeff Stuppler. He gave Griffin (10 week old German Shepherd puppy) a head to toe examination. He was professional, personable, thoughtful, informative and funny. Dr. Jeff volunteered a wealth of information, what brand foods to avoid, tips on how to get Griffin to like having his feet, ears etc. touched and handled, where to get obedience training... the list goes on and on! Dr. Jeff asked me several times during Griffin's visit if I had any questions. My answer was "No" each time. He answered any questions I had and answered questions that I didn't even know I had without my asking. Dr. Jeff even made a personal follow-up call. The staff was also wonderful beginning with my 1st phone call to Ronda the receptionist to make an appointment. The other receptionist (sorry can't remember her name) played with Griffin while I filled out paperwork. Jessica the Technician was sweet, personable & also great with Griffin! I couldn't be more pleased with our 1st experience and am looking forward to Griffin spending his entire life in the care of Highlands Veterinary Center!”
