But more than that, the employees and owners here are SO caring and thoughtful. They made my stay here amazing and went out of their way to take care of me and treated me like family. “My five year old son has been a patient of Mrs. Jaz for over a year. I have nothing but great things to say about our experience! The improvement we have seen during that time has been amazing. We no longer have to interpret for our son when he is talking to others. The sessions are full of content yet entertaining for kids. There were also things she recommended we do at home to help with his muscle and jaw weakness. Usually the exercises did not take more than 10 min a day. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Do not hesitate to make an appointment. This is a great group of professionals. All of the Doctors, Nurses and Staff are incredible. I have Diabetes and I had a terrible wound on my foot. I was seen by Dr. Patel for wound care. The outlook was not good for keeping my toe. She was concerned but she had a plan. We worked together to get my foot to heal. Her memory and bedside manor are outstanding. My foot recently got infected again due to callous build up. I called to make an appointment with Dr. Patel. She was on maternity leave so I saw Dr. Karen at the Henrico office. Dr. Karen = Awesome. She picked right up where Dr. Patel left off. We worked together and got my foot healed again. Now we are doing preventive maintenance. I have learned alot from these awesome Doctors. With the diabetic neuropathy and the ulcer in my foot I need to stay ahead of injury. I am so lucky to have these great people on my team.”

“I recently had the pleasure of meeting. Dr. Khawaja. He impressed me with his knowledge, kindness and patience. I was concerned about my memory and the effects of aging. It was reassuring when he said I didn't have memory loss relating to dementia.. My learning disabilities appeared to be the primary issue. After more than a half century, I will finally get some answers. The hospital posts the doctor's notes for the patient to review. They are clinical observations, which can appear to be devoid of compassion. Some patients, who wrote reviews, were upset by the doctor's notes.The unvarnished truth is not always rainbows and unicorns. After being upset, I had to accept that what he wrote was true. I am looking forward to learning more. After living in the dark for so long. I am eager to be enlightened.”

“I have been with Dr. Dougan since before she started this practice. Dr. Walden and I have been having sessions weekly for over a year as well. Both are phenomenal psychologists. I have been in recovery for severe mental health issues stemming from childhood traumas, parents who struggled with substance abuse, and a chaotic marriage that resulted in divorce. My recovery has been both difficult and rewarding. I have a history of hospitalizations for suicide attempts. Have attended a long term rehabilitation facility for my severe bipolar, undergone ECT treatments, and received medication management from a psychiatrist for years. I began with Dr. Dougan after my fourth suicide attempt and she supported me consistently compassionately as I recovered from my fifth suicide attempt. I have been a mental health professional as well and have experience on both sides of provider and patient.
