“A neighborhood staple which is almost as old as I am, it serves the kind of new york style pizza that my parents who grew up on Long Island in the 50s recognize as authentic. That means: foldable crust, flavorful sauce (not too sweet), and rich cheese. They also use more abundant toppings than many places nearby. The calzone ingredients are never overcooked (bright green sauteed veggies). The people are always friendly and efficient. The mall has kept the look of prior decades and makes me feel like a kid again.”

“One of the best sushi experiences I’ve had in my life. The waitress was incredibly sweet and offered an appetizer vegetable spring roll and cheesecakes for dessert ON THE HOUSE. The rolls were really fresh and just spot on with flavor. Shrimp tempura especially tasted just great. Really nice crunch to each bite too. Clean restaurant and calm atmosphere makes it a really nice spot to hang out or go on a date. Menu size is large so you’ll find anything you’ll want here.”

“MOST DEFINITELY A TOP CONTENDER 🔥 🐔 🔥 I would always get my chicken from little Peru but I love to give others a chance for the crown and Max's chicken did not come to play!! I arrived half hour before closing but the lady treated me so kindly still and was very friendly. I got the family special of a whole chicken, 3 sides and a soda for 28.99!! Food came out quickly after ordering and the cashier even went out of their way to give me plates and utensils to go. I took my food to go but I was caught guilty of munching on the drive because that chicken INSTANTLY filled my car with a delicious aroma and had my mouth watering 🤤 Food was delicious and definitely made me reconsider who my favorite Peruvian chicken in the Fairfax area!!! Conveniently located next to Heat hookah I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area and give a local restaurant a try!!”

The only negative I noticed was the strength of the grill as our food cooked slower than usual, but our server (Dave you rock!) used 2 other grills to help us eat our heart out. “Shared parking lot but because they are at the end, they have semi-exclusive parking around their side. Doesn't get too busy when I come around for lunch so there's plenty of seating. Good variety of dishes available. A little disappointed that they no longer offer fountain drinks and have replaced it with bottled drinks. They have a single TV to keep your eyes busy, if you're so inclined. TV volume is actually turned up so you can here it which is different from other (non-bar) places I've been to. Otherwise, good food and service.”

“I went here for a month straight. And then I came here again for my anniversary. Enough said. But in all seriousness this is my go-to place for getting hot pot on a cold winter night. They have all you can eat hot pot for a very reasonable price, with both individual and shared hot pots. Customers choose one hot pot base and then can select from their AYCE selection of lamb, beef, pork, fish balls, multiple types of tofu, veggies, noodles, crab, and other types of seafood. My usual go-to hot pot base is their spicy soup base. They also have a great self-serve sauce bar, where you can build and combine your own sauces to your heart's content. And finally, make sure you don't miss out on the sweet desserts they have near their sauce bar. This place can get very busy during dinner hours at the weekend, but typically the wait doesn't get over an hour.”
