“The turf field is very nice and in good condition. There are multiple grass sports fields available. There are no plumbed bathrooms, however, there are porta pottys available. There is also a rather large community garden on one end of the park. There are two parking lots and ~100 spots.”

“Great family experience!! We checked into a cabin on Friday @ 4PM and left the following Monday around 1030AM and all around everyone with us had the best time. My husband, myself, our 3 year old, 17 year old, and my parents all came for the trip and did not leave disappointed. The cabin slept 8 and was very comfortable. The only suggestion with the cabin is more trash bags and a broom. We did a guided tour during a Hiking/crafting activity scheduled and really enjoyed the knowledge Denise had. The pool was great with the basketball hoops and swim up bar. You couldnt keep us off the adult water slides and the kiddie pool was perfect for our 3 year old. Shopped way to much at the general store but it was super convenient. Did not eat at the restaurant on property. Grilled at our cabin or went to local restaurants. Being able to rent a golf cart for a great price was also a great feature. We understand that the campgrounds are still under construction and look forward to visiting next year. I do wish there was a gym. I am an avid runner so I enjoyed early mornings around the site, the weather was perfect for it.”

“Fields 1, 2 and the batting cages only have one porta potty nearby. The fields and lights were great despite having just had a ton of rain the night before.”

“A railroad track runs through this park and it runs along the Occoquan River. Great place to take your dog. The trail is hilly in places. Very few people on the trail. Limited parking on the Yates side. There is an adventure camp for kids here. On most weekdays there will be groups of 5th graders at various points in the adventure camp. But the kids dont go into the trail to my knowledge. So dont be concerned about being disturbed on your run/walk/jog. There is a spot you can launch boats from. There are also horse trails. There is winery just outside the park entrance on the Yates side.”

“I've been hiking here for decades, even did a few Eagle Scout projects here. I love the area. The management has changed, but I haven't noticed much of a difference in access to the trails. It's a great place in all seasons and weather.”

“Great haunted trail. Scares galore. It is a yon of work for one night of terror. Watch out for the bunny man.”

“Along the Bull Run Occoquan Trail is a great hike. Lots of terrain and occasional views of the reservoir. Consider dropping off a car further upstream and make it a one-way hike. Note that the gate may not be open until 10 AM. A closed gate means an extra half mile walk to the trailhead. For loop hikes, go further upstream to Hemlock Overlook Park.”

“Easy access, multiple courts or fields. Lacks enough seating arrangements and wish there were toilets and drinking water. Or probably there but couldn't see any.”

“Good hike if you're looking for a quiet trail in NoVA.”

“This is a great trail, with great terrain and occasional views of the reservoir. The bridges are sturdy and well maintained. The further from the access point, the lighter the crowd. There is little opportunity to hike a loop, so consider dropping one car upstream and driving down to this access point to do a one-way hike.”

“Ran with my dog here and loved it. I would recommend looking at a map and making a route plan before getting started though. I am new to the area and when I ran here I was kind of confused and had to turn around a few times. Super shaded because of the big trees and some great inclines.”
