The rooms were well appointed and spotless and made for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast each morning was lovely and you did not come away hungry. The property is full of history and is a beautiful place to stay and take in the sunsets and relax. we will definitely be back again.”

“Absolutely incredible food. We ate here for brunch and also for dinner on a recent stay in Gloucester. The staff is incredibly welcoming, the chef is a genius, and the atmosphere was perfect for an upscale meal while also being the right vibe for our 11 month old (an incredibly tough balance to strike!). I was blown away by the scallop entree and my husband could not get over how perfect the flounder with crab was. We will definitely be back.”

“I was pleasantly surprised to find very tasty Mexican food in rural Virginia. The tortilla soup was particularly good. The carnitas were tender, juicy, & well seasoned. The chicken fajitas were also juicy & well seasoned. The portions are very generous. There was no way we could finish it all. The margarita was very nice with a decent amount of alcohol. I'm sure they'll all be just as excellent tomorrow. My only issues were small... The soup came after the rest of my meal. They didn't bring tortillas with the meal, & either the rice or beans (it was hard to say) were kind of sweet. I didn't expect that. Will definitely come again the next time we're in the area.”

Whom brought our drinks and oversaw our eating experience with care and making sure both of us were well cared for. I'd ordered a "bankers" special. (Consisting of 2 eggs, home fries, sausage and English Muffin.) Companion ordered the Southern Belle (2eggs, home fries, toast, and Country Ham) Both meals, were EXCELLENT.. Well proportioned and cooked with care... All I can and will say by being local guide, this diner is the place to check out. Whether by locals or travelers. Well worth the trip. The pricing was reasonable, and he was constantly in contact with us on the timing and pricing so there were no surprises. Stu really helped us navigate through this process effortlessly. The crew was courteous, quick and did outstanding work on our roof, siding and the LP trim and finishing touches – really great with the little details. They did a good job cleaning things up when the whole project was complete. Absolutely a great company to work with all the way around.
