We stayed in a rental unit on the property. Our kids slept on a blowup mattress because it was a one bedroom unit without a pull out couch. We enjoyed the extra sitting room and full sized refrigerator during our Thanksgiving dinner. If we wanted to cool it would have been possible thanks to the counter space but we elected to order from Cracker Barrel instead.
The kids were able to ride their bikes around the campground without any problems from excessive traffic. There is an arcade on the property that takes quarters which the kids thought was old school. The rundown mini golf course needs repairs but it was good enough for the kids to enjoy.
The campground employees were courteous and helpful throughout our 4 day stay. The location of the campground is close to all the shopping and historical sites the area has to offer.
We would definitely go back!
I thought this place was great! They had good facilities with lots of choices. It was quiet during the fall season, we did wish there were more explanations on activities like maps of trails or self-guided activities other than the mini golf and arcade. Overall would be back 💗
It's been 6 years since our last visit here and it looks just as clean as it did back then. We love how quiet this park is. We stayed in the cabins and they are still like new. The staff is very friendly and their prices are quite reasonable. The only amenities are wifi and a pool, nothing else. But since we are only here to sleep and are out doing other things all day, that doesn't matter. Highly recommend. If I were an RV person, I like how many pull through spots they have, seems like that's a plus.
