“Took my pup there so she could play in the water and she had a great time! We played right around a bend so she could play where the current was much slower and I made sure not to let her go out too far, but the faster currents may have just been due to all the rain recently as the people who recommended it said nothing about the fast currents. It's a bit buggy down there so make sure you have some sort of repellent!”

“This park is very nice. It's small but has different play areas for different age groups. It also has picnic tables that you can use and you can sit and let your little one find around and you can see all the play areas so if you have more than one kid and they use different play areas you can see them.”

“What a great place! Especially the fall festival! So many activities! Very friendly staff! The writing for individuals paying for tickets needs to be bigger. The group price letters on the poster were way bigger than the individual prices, so we thought we were paying another price. Still worth it.”

“This park has a lot of history and trails. I hiked the Interpretative Trail what was somewhat well marked. It took me through the main section of the park, and it has a lot of sign telling the history of the battlefield. I walked passed 3 cannons and the cemetery. There are a lot of trails, all named, but the trail map only captures the color of the trails. Wish there was a more detailed hiking map. Some trails appeared to be very well kept, probably because they have more hikers. There was a gentleman at the entrance in the parking area sharing stories of the battlefield and he is the person to take to if you have questions or want to know about future events. There is a portable potty in the parking lot. I would come back again. The park is very clean but be sure to spray yourself with bug spray. I had some organic bug spray with no deet and I still got bitten twice.”

“A well maintained playground with lots of different types of things for different ages to play on.”

“Nicely maintained park with a dog-friendly, paved walking path. There are plenty of poo stations so you don’t have to walk for a long period of time with a poo bag. The ponds are cute and the geese like stopping there. We walked for a few miles actually before having to turn around because it was getting dark, and there was plenty more trail to go. At only a few spots did the path get close to the road, which is nice if you’re walking a dog or if you have kids. No bathroom facilities.”

“Had a great time walking here. We went during a rain storm and obviously the trails were deserted. Brought our two dogs along as well and had a good time. Hike is very simple even for beginners. But there are some steeper climbs near the overlook. There are some downed trees toward the end of the loop that you need to maneuver over / under too. Nothing too strenuous though. Great view of the Potomac!”

“The first time I visited the Park, It was love at first sight for me.My family and I have been going there ever since and have even refer a lot of people including my Kids daycare there as well. The reason I am writing this review is because of the exceptional care and kindness of one of the Staff Rachel at the Temple Halls farm. I left my camera behind during my last visit to the farm,She found my camera, the battery was dead. She went out of her way to buy a charger, charged the camera and was able to find me on Facebook with the pictures on the camera so she can return it to me. This is a great extra effort and I am truly impressed and very grateful to her .She did not have to, but yet she went far and beyond to make sure a customer she did not know get her camera back. Now you can even get a Bokay of beautiful flower for just $5.I got some during my last visit.”
