  I can't say enough good things about Green Acres at the Bay. My wife, 2 daughters, sister-in-law and brother in law, and Golden Doodle stayed for a long weekend in early October. Karla was incredibly accommodating, and we received lots of information from her prior to the stay.
  
  The house itself was incredibly cozy and well-appointed. The special touches are almost too numerous to list, from a special basket of dog treats and toys, to toys/games for the kids, towels for the dogs, kayaks, bikes, life jackets (including for the dog), and a kitchen that is almost absurdly well-stocked for a vacation rental.
  
  The property itself is simply magical. In a completely rural setting, on a protected inlet deep enough to bring your boat, with the only sounds coming from nature, this was perhaps the most relaxing and rejuvenating few days we have ever had. My daughters grew obsessed with fishing from the dock, looking at the crabs in the two crab pots, and kayaking around the inlet and the East River.
  
  There were fish jumping everywhere, and we caught trout, spot, and a roundhead. We saw cranes and other beautiful birds, and even saw a bald eagle swoop down and catch a fish. We watched a rocket from Wallops Island light up the sky and then disappear when it left the the earth. We observed the full moon explode out of the river each night almost like a fireball or sunrise. We walked the rural road and looked at the soybean fields, and little inlets and wild flowers that were everywhere.
  
  Our dog found his happy place as he swam around the inlet, chased the crabs and fish, and got into mud up to his neck (the house has a hose on the dock and by the deck that is idea for cleaning the dogs- dog towels are provided) I could go on and on.
  
  But this says it all- Although the home has wifi, my young daughters literally did not ask to use their electronics once in 72 hours! This is both unheard of for us, and soul-satisfying.

  Green Acres at the Bay provided everything my family could need for a relaxing and fun long weekend. The kitchen had every item we desired, from cookware to wraps to spices and condiments. The entire house was spotless and provided comfortable bedrooms and living areas. But the real attraction is the outdoor areas. Morning coffee on the dock, kayaking in the creek and East River, S'mores over the outdoor fire pit... I think we spent more time outside than inside!
  
  Add in the fact that we could share all of this with our dog and it would be difficult to find a better place! Thanks Karla and Dave for offering such a welcoming home for our family get-together!

  Great house! Pup friendly with a welcome pup basket of goodies- so sweet! Right on the water with lots of amenities. Very accomodating and friendly and easily accesible owners. Great for families
