The location is beautiful, the property spectacular, the rooms and bath facilities wonderful and the breakfast delicious. Elizabeth and Jay are the best. Upon arrival we felt welcome and shortly thereafter at home. Wonderful folks who go to incredible extremes to make your stay perfect. Best acknowledgement of our five star rating is that we are booked to return in September. Been in several B+B'S and none come close to the Inn at Westwood Farm.”

“Our son went to Grymes from K – 8 and it was the perfect school for him. The school transformed him from a shy and timid child to a confident teenager who has a love of learning. How did they do it? I think it’s a combination of good programs, teachers that care and are given the authority to do the right things, and administrators that support the students and teachers. It is programs like public speaking, annual plays, and annual music performances that helped my son develop the confidence so he could speak engagingly to a large audience at graduation. It’s the support of a good coach and teammates that gave him the confidence to learn a new sport. It’s a loving teacher that lifted him up when math was difficult for him. It was an engaging history teacher that made a subject fun even though it wasn’t one he gravitated to naturally. It’s not that the school is perfect. It definitely has its strengths and weaknesses. But it’s the spirit and culture of the school that makes it special. Now our son is at a large college preparatory high school in Washington DC. He confidently entered a school where he didn’t know anyone and feels fully prepared to take honors classes. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.”
