“One of the best trout streams in the state of VA. It is a shame that a couple of land owners have about ruined it for anglers. They act like people use this place as a dumping ground, and for the most part the area is clean. I wish the state would buy the whole valley and stock trophy size trout and charge a fee each day, if you want to fish. Add a campground, a amphitheater, and make it part of the crooked road summertime concert series. Could also build a small hatchery, and raise the fish. Charge admission, create some full time and part time jobs. I think people would be amazed at the amount of revenue it would bring to the county, and to the community of Claudville, and Ararat. I do believe having a destination such as Kibler for trout anglers to go to, and make landing a trophy fish a reality, you would also see a huge increase in out-of-state licenses being purchased. It would be a win win situation for local and state government. Google White River in Bull Shoals, Arkansas iif you don't believe me. World class trout destination, and draws tourists from all over the world.”
