“Robert and Kelsey in Patrick Springs worked tirelessly to close the sale of my house. From on the market to under contract in less than 3 full days and closed in just over 4 weeks. Great, friendly people and exceptional service, I highly recommend them!”

“Wren & his staff jumped through all kinds of hoops to get us closed on the sale of a property. Due to some extenuating circumstances, we had to close by a certain date and they made it happen! We appreciate them so much & Patrick County is lucky & blessed to have them!!”

“I find this Wal-mart to be slightly smaller than most, but it has most of the things that you'd find in any other Wal-mart. Getting into the parking lot could be easy to overlook.”

“Excellent place stay along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Room was clean and fresh (so fresh that my fifteen year old son even noticed and said something like, “this room isn’t just clean, it’s so fresh!”) beds were comfy, shower water hot through two back-to-back showers and good water pressure! Very cozy wood smell when you first walk in the room, due to the renovation. So quiet at night - We did not hear A PEEP from outside of our room all night. Owner was super nice and communicative. The windows all could open and there was just a lovely fresh breeze from outside… the windows in the back of the rooms look out on nothing but a nice patch of green grass and then trees. When we arrived it was dark but we were pleasantly surprised when we came out in the morning to see a pretty country view with more mountains in the distance. The air conditioner was nice and cold but also very quiet. Breakfast was very good in a cute little country store setting. I remember scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, fresh fruit, coffee, hot cocoa, several types of tea, and regular bread, cinnamon raisin bread and English muffins available to toast, but I’m sure there were more things I don’t remember. As for downsides the ONLY things I would change are 1. I’d put a dark curtain over the back window too - there were good blackout curtains in the front but only blinds on the back window by the sink, so light was still able to get in in the morning. 2. There was no fridge - my mistake, I should have checked but I didn’t think to. For the price I would think there would be a small fridge in the room so travelers can keep their cooler stuff cold and refreeze their ice packs overnight. Fortunately our cooler was absolutely crammed with stuff and about a thousand ice packs though so we were fine. All in all a sweet little mountain inn and I would choose to stay here again if I got the chance!”

“Fun little park near a cabin we stayed in recently. One of the few parks we could find in the area that wasn't blocked off due to COVID, and a favorite. Perfect size for a little one, with swings, slides, a sandpit, and monkey bars. Plus the fire engine. 😊 The pavilion was empty the two times we visited, as were the fields and playground. The park has a small paved area to walk, and appears to be somewhat accessible for those with wheelchairs or strollers. Also some nice trailheads, but watch for ticks. Was a little bit in disrepair in a few areas (there's a set of wooden stairs near a trailhead that appears to be falling apart and the fire engine was missing one steering wheel), but was still nice. There are several seating areas. Has public restrooms. Weirdly, the women's restroom was locked but the men's wasn't when we visited. 🤷♀️”

“I actually go to this store frequently. They have about anything you'd want and great produce alot of it is locally grown. Mike and the girls that work there are very nice and helpful. Best store in Ararat, minutes from Mt. Airy. By the way gas is $3.14. Come visit, you'll be back!”

“We really enjoyed staying there. The cabin had 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a family meal. The trees on the large property were beautiful. They even had a lavender farm and shop where you could buy soaps and other things made with lavender. There were also trails you could hike beside the Dan River. Great place to go during warm weather as it tends to be much cooler up there on the mountain. We’ll be back.”

“One of the first (old) Primitive Baptist Churches .A very blessed church, (In the Pigg river assoc.) , along with most all of Patrick,Henry, Floyd, and Franklin Co. Churches in the 40's and 50's!!! Since i was one of the young-uns back then, and had trouble sitting still, my Daddy would hand me his car key, and let me and my sister sit in his car and play the radio for a short period of time! The Old Baptist meetings lasted longer than some ! ( Yes, the car cranked)!”
