Everything... I have tried here was on point 👉 🐂🍛🐔🍌🥬🥤just 😋 Jollof, Plaintain, and Cabbage me😁 I'll will be just fine!👌

My wife (Foodie & Trained Chef) and I took a day trip to visit VSU and to ride through our old stomping grounds of Petersburg, VA. As we are driving, we found Goodness & Mercy. Off the bat, this is not a fast food restaurant. in saying that, I am stating that they are actually cooking the food and not just preparing as some traditional small restaurants and cafes. So expect a wait as if you are in a real restaurant. The customer service was great as they answered all of my menu questions. I ordered the Ghanaian Jollof Rice with some of the best Plantains I've ever had (perfect crispy & sweet balance). The food was flavorful and exactly what I expected. Delicious West African and Caribbean Cuisine. You really can't go wrong with whatever you choose from the menu. From the perfectly seasoned West African staple Jollof rice with your choice of chicken or fish on the side, to the sublime blend of savory, spicy and sour flavors you'll experience when trying their Kenke. The staff is also very friendly, I always feel like family when I'm here.

Underscoring all of this are the tropical sounds performed by the live in house band that take you on a journey all around the world with their relaxing and energetic sounds spanning Reggae, Bossa Nova, Hi-Life, and many other genres and sub genres you didn't know you needed to hear.

All in all if you enjoy tropical food and live music you owe it to yourself to pay this establishment a visit
