(October 7, 2022, 6:15 pm)Don't let looks deceive you. This place is delicious! From the moment you walk in you're greeted with the smell of hot food. I got the curried goat, candied yams, and rice and beans. The soft goat meat fell off the bones, and had a tangy spicy flavore. The candied yams were hot and sweet. Satisfying the sweet tooth. And the rice and beans were sweet as well. Wasn't expecting that. Despite getting a small plate, I was stuffed halfway through what they gave me. Will definitely eat here again when in the area!
(August 17, 2022, 7:36 pm)Happy Time is a hit EVERY TIME 🙌🏾! Everything is seasoned well and you get large portions for your buck. My favorites are the oxtails, Mac and cheese, cabbage, yellow rice, and yams. If you are ever in Portsmouth stop by this gem and you will not be disappointed 💪🏾
(July 22, 2022, 2:06 am)I have been eating here for 7 years and the food is still amazing. Do not let the location or looks of the outside scare you away. I have tried it all numerous times and never had a bad plate.

I get the curry chicken or jerk with rice & peas or sometimes yellow rice, the cabbage is nice, but I always get yams.. If your from Portsmouth and you like Jamaican food cooked right every time, and at a good price come here
(April 28, 2021, 11:27 am)Just recently got hooked on this place. Wish i knew it existed all this time i been living here. But i try to get by there as much as possible now. Very friendly staff. Very good food. They do an amazing job.

All I know is I whizzed by one day in a car, saw the "CURRY GOAT" on the sign, squealed with delight, and decided I would one day return. And I did! And I demanded all the goat curry they would offer, and for $8 they piled up a huge vat of it + some sort of cabbage thingy + rice.
