Schooner Inn

I had stayed here before and never really appreciate it until this last time when I got a room on the ground floor that opens right to the boardwalk. Those rooms cost a little more but man are they worth it highly recommended.

HIGHLY recommended! My boyfriend and I stayed in the king room with a heart-shaped hot tub right in front of a huge window overlooking the ocean and it was awesome! The room was immaculately clean. Had all the amenities for a long stay if you want, including a large mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and kitchen sink and cabinets stocked with plates, bowls, cups, coffee mugs, and silverware. Looks recently renovated with granite countertop and on the bistro table. Also has convenient USB plugs for charging your devices. The cleaning crew was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The front desk staff was also friendly and knowledgeable about things to do in the off season (we were there just before Christmas). If I'm ever back in Virginia Beach I'll definitely stay here again!

It's a fun little older hotel to stay at. The pool is amazing and the hot tub was awesome! The hardware was old and the bathroom and beds are a bit rough but overall it is an incredibly great little hotel for the price! If you're on a budget, this hotel will not disappoint and the view of the ocean is just fantastic. Staff were nice too! They let us check in 3 hours early. Really enjoyed the 10-day stay and highly recommend the Schooner for budget-conscious travelers.
