“The experience is more than I expected. It is a room with a couple of salt walls, but there is an actual "thing" that dispenses a mist of hymalayan salt into the air. It is awesome and it feels wonderful! I felt like I could breath much deeper for days. There is also some kind of special music playing. If I were to try to explain it I couldn't. You'll see (better yet, hear) what I mean when you have your own session. Also, Ashley who runs the studio is a doll. She is kind and accommodating. The be studio was referred to me and now I am referring it to you. Just make an appointment and be ready to chill out and take it all in.”

We happened upon Ocean Eleven as we were heading to dinner, decided to check it out, and ask some questions. I’m SO GLAD we did! The vibe of this place is SO GOOD! Michele took care of us, and she is WONDERFUL! She is incredibly knowledgeable about everything available, as well as the regulations in Virginia. “Built in 1895, beautifully restored almost 100 years later in 1994, the de Witt Cottage features a large collection of wildfowl decoys, as well as a wide variety of old photographs, newsclips, and antiques. Lower floor free, $2 donation requested for upper gallery, which is accessible via stairlift for those who may have difficulty climbing. Video lecture provides a brief history of the Virginia Beach boardwalk. Great lens back in time for those interested in the area's history. Curator was knowledgeable and gregarious without being pushy. Souvenir postcards 3-for-$1. Gift shop also featured books, art, jewelry, and (of course!) decoys. Purchase came with complimentary reusable state-branded canvas tote. Would recommend checking it out if you're in the area.”

“It's a fun little older hotel to stay at. The pool is amazing and the hot tub was awesome! The hardware was old and the bathroom and beds are a bit rough but overall it is an incredibly great little hotel for the price! If you're on a budget, this hotel will not disappoint and the view of the ocean is just fantastic. Staff were nice too! They let us check in 3 hours early. Really enjoyed the 10-day stay and highly recommend the Schooner for budget-conscious travelers.”

“The food was delicious, I wasnt feeling well so I ordered and I was so happy I did. The Singapore pancit was delicious and spicy enough to clear me up. Another thing was wonderful was that the food was still hot even when I ordered. Sometimes food elsewhere is cold but this was still steamy. And even when I saved half of the Singapore, the next day it was still pact with flavor. So thank you!”

“We love this cute little hangout! Very kid friendly this is our second summer but third time visiting with our whole family! They have corn hole and outside games! We all love the Crushes! They have two “separate” front and back menu ones more sea food and the other is more BBQ/taco/burgers! Very great options! We got the crab dip with pita chips (not pictured) and we got the pork lumpia and some burritos! All were great! Amazing atmosphere and service!”

“I have to tell everyone out there. You must try the fish sandwich. It wasn’t just the size of the fish sandwich. It was the type of battering. It was the moistness of the fish and I have to give David a lot of kudos. My mother and I were there twice on two different weekends and his service is nothing less than five star. I think that is the best fish sandwich I have ever had in my life and the night before I had a fish sandwich at another restaurant absolutely no comparison at all. I will 100% make a point to come by the restaurant for their great service and great food. Every time I come to Virginia Beach there’s no way I could not come back there.”

“This is one of the last independent beachfront motels that hasn't been mowed down for a boring, character-stripped chain. Other reviewers are right, it's dated... In the best way possible. Charm to the brim. And super clean. And super friendly staff. And perfect beach views perfectly centrally located on the boardwalk. Breakfast isn't included but it's so affordable you can easily go to any of the great little diners in the area. We'll definitely be back.”
