Our friends parents have lived here for some time and have amassed quite the collection from this island! If you spend the time, you too will find treasure in the way of sharks teeth/bone and so many other things that wash on shore! This is also a very dog friendly island, so please feel free to being your dogs (so long as they are friendly)!”

“This is a fun place to visit and a favorite camping spot of ours within a short driving distance of Fredericksburg. The camp grounds are clean and wooded. In the summer there is a beach and pool for swimming. In my opinion the best part of the park is Fossil Beach and the hike thereto. Located on the banks of the Potomac, the beach is a great place to look (and often find) fossilized shark teeth. The hike to the beach is a little under a mile in length and provides good bird watching opportunities in the spring.”
