My husband and I stayed for a weekend getaway and absolutely loved the accommodations. All staff members were friendly and attentive. Our room was spotless. The food was delicious and our dietary restrictions were taken into account and thoroughly covered. The location is also extremely convenient. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quaint, yet professional, bed and breakfast.
This was a very nice stay with me and my wife. Great area in Williamsburg and not far from the colonial site. Rooms are very nice and decorative. One of the more comfy beds I have stayed in before. What puts it over the top is the food provided and the staff. Breakfast was amazing and the owner Alex was very friendly and funny. I do believe my wife and I will prob make a tradition of coming here annually.
This was our first stay at the Cedars. Alex was an amazing host. Warm & personable but not intruding. Really made us feel welcome and at home. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee was excellent. We enjoyed sitting by the fires and the decorations were precisely as they should be for Williamsburg. The other guests were lovely to chat with as well. We stayed in the Juniper room in the cottage. It was fantastic. I would say that the bed was fairly soft for my tastes, but I like a firm bed. It wasn't low quality...I just personally like more support. But we will definitely return!
Love this place. Will definitely return. The owner and caretaker are both great characters and can offer lots of information about the local sites. Breakfast is included, which was delicious. Make sure to tell them is you have dietary concerns and they will accommodate! If you're a light sleeper, you might want to request a room on the top floor.
Loved my stay at the Cedars while moving my daughter into the law school at William and Mary. I honestly was just booking a stay to have a bed to sleep in but what I got was a wonderful 5 star experience. The house is charming and the room was clean and very comfortable. The host Alex absolutely made the five star experience. His conversation was wonderful and I enjoyed listening to him interact with all his guests with his wonderful wit, warmth and impressive knowledge. The best part was waking up to the smell of breakfast which for me as a single mom of three hasn’t woken up to since I was a kid. The breakfasts were wonderful! I highly highly recommend (meant to say twice) and can’t wait to return. Located a short walk from Colonial Williamsburg and all the shops and eateries you could want!
