I love Ripley’s! Always have, kids liked it also however the 4D theater was too loud for my oldest (autism/sensory) so he skipped the second viewing and we left the ticket for someone else. Otherwise perfect family outing :) so much to learn!
Ripley's is amazing, it does make you think. The best of all for me at the age of 62 was the 4D movies, just the excitement of the moments. Listening to the kids. I hVe own been there twice a day will go back again. You truly have to see it to believe it or not. Williamsburg is a wonderful place to visit.
Really closer to a 4.5 for me - the only issues we encountered during our visit was scanning the barcodes on our phones for the interactive games we paid for - staff was helpful enough but it was infuriating at the time. Several of the hands-on displays showed some wear, expected of course in a museum but a little updating could go a long way.
They have some genuinely amazing displays and we enjoyed the 4D theater after touring the museum - it's the only one we've been to where they used smells and even real snow at one point! Definitely worth a visit for that alone especially if you have kids.
At first we think it will be boring... But! A lot of amazing finds and facts here and on top of that we enjoyed the 4D theater, especially the kids, which all that matters! Also customer service is phenomenal!
