Delicious food and great service!! My girls shared a giant hot dog. My husband enjoyed a brat burger and I ordered the salmon salad! Also, the seasonal sangria was absolutely refreshing! Our waitress, Angela, was phenomenal and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy a wonderful meal!
Great food, beer, service. Went with the family and everyone loved their food. Our server was excellent. Everything was clean etc. Just know you will walk out with a much bigger belly and a much lighter wallet.
Had Fish and chips with batter fried cod and broccoli soup. Well made, nice yellow golden crust of fried fish made with normal, not old, oil. Too often I come across old oil used for frying in regular type of restaurants, so I'm always afraid of fried food. But I was happy to see that they keep higher standards in preparing their food. Definitely would visit again. Loved the fries. Broccoli soup was very regular but also real, like homemade. I would love to spice up my food more but that's just my taste. I definitely would recommend the place. Will keep it in mind for my next visit to Williamsburg.
Updated review - Our waiter was phenomenal. We were sat in the lower level with all the other families with kids, which we didn't mind at all. My son loved the Welsh rarebit, bit the sauce was a bit too runny. I think it needs a longer bit under the broiler at the end to get a nice toasted top. He thought it was grand, but highly suggest the kitchen used toasted bread before adding the sauce per the traditional recipe rather than soft un-toasted bread. That is my recommendation there.
Chicken wings were good. Broccoli soup needed something more, it was awfully bland, but I'm guessing it isn't ordered often. Fish and chips, even the kids portion, was amazingly large. We ended up taking most of it home for lunch the next day. The Fried Eggplant sandwich was really good and can recommend. Lamb burger was good, although a bit too salty, but still very tasty.
Happy to see some UK beer available, wish there was more.
Glad to see the quality of food and service has improved over the last two years.
